Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
People are frantically busy today. They have no time but they get very little fruitful work done and they are frustrated by the end of their workday. I blest you to be fruitful but it was not a frantic pace, it was seedtime and harvest, sowing and reaping, and calling things that be not so they be.
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22.
I taught My people the principle of sanctification in resting and working from being in My rest with Me in the holiness of the shabbat. And yet, as Jesus told you, I am always working. Rest is not idleness and restrictions on activities, it is of the spirit and draws in the soul and brings a supernatural grace of shalom peace even in the busiest areas of your life. The true rest is in the spirit and it is healing to your flesh and bones. Lying still on a beach all day is not rest if your mind is racing and you are anxious about many things. Fruitfulness is rest. You attach by resting in My Word and letting it rest in you like a branch on a vine. A branch is not frantic about producing it just lets in the flow and fruit grows. It is work that it knows how to do without frantic effort. The branches on a grape vine will produce enormous bunches of graces but if the vine is healthy and there are plenty of nutrients the fruitful work will flow.
True rest comes from one thing only: joy. A person who is happy and excited about how good their life is, is not tired. They are ready to go at any hour because they are enjoying what they are doing. But primarily the joy no one can take from you comes when you are enjoying the river of peace and joy that is flowing from your spirit into your soul from My presence in your spirit by the indwelling Holy Spirit.
At that very time Jesus rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.” Luke 10:21.
And that is a joy no one can take from you because it is not based on circumstances but on a Person who is yours and loves you forever, yes, it is based on your relationship with Me.
I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely . . . You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:8-11.
Only in My presence is their FULLNESS of joy that has no dependence on circumstances but on a relationship. Being in Me creates around you a place of peace and light and grace. A dwelling place of the assemblies of Zion.
In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the adornment of the survivors of Israel. It will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded for life in Jerusalem. When the LORD has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy (the wedding canopy). There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain. Isaiah 4:2-6.
But it gets even better, you are not only here below you are also above for I raised you up with Christ and seated you there in spirit at My right hand IN CHRIST. You are not just below in the dark you are high above in the light, you have come to the heavenly Zion.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels in festal gathering, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24.
When John was exiled to the barren island of Patmos and left there to survive or perish, he was not frantic or worried. He simply slipped over into supernatural rest in the Spirit realm and suddenly he was no longer trapped in a dark barren place. He was standing before the risen Christ in all His glory and caught right up through the open door into the supernatural rest of his spirit into My very throne room, the command center of the universe and all it contains.
And he was not tired. Just like Moses in the cloud of My glory on Mt. Sinai, enveloped in My presence he had no need of food, drink or physical rest for forty days and forty nights. He was not tired, he was radiant!
Not that you are happy about unpleasant circumstances but that you are content in Me as I take you out of the darkness into My own marvelous light. John did not physically leave Patmos until the emperor who exiled him died, which I worked out quickly enough, but by resting in the Spirit he was productive, you are still reading the book of Revelation and everything in it will come to pass. By stepping into the supernatural rest, John called it the “Lord’s Day,” he was fruitful and joyful in a very barren place and circumstances most people would have found tiring and reason for fear and depression. Many never survived exile to Patmos, but they did not know what John knew. They did not know how easy it is to step into supernatural rest when you are skilled in My Word and believe in the great love I have for you. You can rest in knowing that I work everything together for your good when you love Me and are living out your purpose.
And My apostle Paul knew the same. Even beaten and thrown in prison he was singing praise and it changed his circumstances from being chained to the floor in a dark jail cell to every chain falling off and all the gates swinging open and salvation coming to the jailer and his whole household and to all the prisoners as well. And he lived what he wrote:
And we KNOW that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.
I have given you a great good Shepherd who is a master at leading you out of darkness into My marvelous light, for He is the Light of the World and the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In Him I have given you every spiritual blessing in Heaven, you just need to come with confidence and receive all My benefits. And that can get you out of anything that comes against you!
The LORD is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23.
And how does He lead you out? With joy. Joyful shouting.
And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout. Psalm 105:43.
That is why Paul told you many times, not just once, “Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS, again I say rejoice.” That is the key to the great joy of supernatural rest. In Me you will be blest. Let you joy be in Me for that fountain will never run die.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9.
Entering into prayer with Me is entering into the joy of supernatural rest. I will make you joyful in My house of prayer. And that is why I tell you that My Will for you who are IN CHRIST JESUS is to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give constant thanks. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. That describes supernatural rest that brings miracles, signs, wonders, and fruitful works of excellence.
Rejoice in that you when the unclean spirits of sickness and pain show up you have a healer who bore all your sins, ills, pains, and shame and it cannot stick on you. “O no you don’t!” is your command and off he flees as you rejoice in Me. Rejoice that all My magnificent promises contained in My Covenant Names are YES to you in Jesus. No need to beg for what I already said “yes” to you for the answer. Just receive it with joy and thanksgiving knowing it is already yours.
And talk to Me about everything and anything. I will give you insight and answers that no one can take exception to or contradict. They will be edified, encouraged, and exhorted and know you are a prophet.
And give constant thanks. This brings the enemy down before you and you can just walk right on over him. A joyous person singing praise and thanksgiving tramples Satan and all his crew underfoot every time and all the time. He cannot get on the Highway of Holiness where it is all joy on the journey.
A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks THE WAY, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the REDEEMED (those in Christ) will walk there, and the RANSOMED of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting and singing to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10.
If that does not describe you day today it is time you woke up to fullness of joy in My presence and the delights at My right hand forever and suddenly the joy will flow without anything outwardly changing. Supernatural rest is of the spirit into the soul into the body and it comes from the joy you find in My presence. Look at Me and be radiant.
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORd has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes round about, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons will come from afar, and your daughters will be carried in the arms. Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and rejoice; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you. Psalm 60:1-5.
Do you see? Deep darkness is covering the earth but NOT you who are in Christ Jesus. He is the light of life, the light of the world, and I have shone in your heart with the glory shining in the face of Christ. Do you remember what My beloved John said about the face of Jesus when He stood before My risen Son on Patmos? His Face shone brighter than the sun at its full brightness. And so will you if you keep you eyes upon Jesus no matter what circumstances you are in. Just step into the supernatural rest that I offer everyone in Christ.
I love you. My arms are open and Jesus is the arm I reached down to save you. But to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? Isaiah 53:1. You. Rejoice over that.
Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am. Philippians 4:11.
