Thus David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and he struck the Philistine and killed him; but there was no sword in David’s hand. 1 Samuel 17:50.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Many people, when I am speaking to their hearts to do something great for My Kingdom, do not move forward because they think they lack the means to do it. Never think what you have is not enough for Me to do great and mighty works through and with you.
Let Me show you some examples for there are many. When Goliath challenged the Israelite army he looked so big and threatening that the men hid and would not take up the challenge. But David looked at Me and felt a call to rescue My people from the attacking Philistines. All he had was a sling shot and five smooth stones. That does not look like much in the face of an experienced soldier with powerful weapons. But with Me, five stones were too many. All I needed to do the miracle was one tiny stone and for David to step up with faith in My covenant and send that stone flying at Goliath. Seem ridiculous? In the natural it was but not in the supernatural. Nothing is impossible to Me and all things are possible for the one who believes that and steps out in faith.
And think of Moses. What did he have that would enable him to free over two million Israelites from bondage to Pharaoh? A rod. That was it—the rod that he used to protect his father-in-law’s sheep. But when he raised that rod in faith I could go to work and amazing things took place, ten plagues and then the parting of the Red Sea and later water out of a rock with a hit of that rod!
And think of Joshua. He took the Israelites into the Promised Land and went to conquer the great walled city of Jericho. And what did he and his people have to knock those huge walls down? A ram’s horn and a great shout. And using those in faith as I directed they knocked the walls down and took the city.
And think of Elisha when the widow of the guild prophet came to him with her husband’s creditors out to take all she had and her children as slaves. He asked her what she had in the house. She thought she had nothing. But she did have a little oil. That was enough for Me. I filled as many containers as she could collect with that oil and when she sold it, she was able to pay off the creditors as well as having enough left over to live on with her sons for many years to come.
And think of My Son at the wedding feast in Cana. All they had was water when they ran out of wine, which did not seem very promising. But My Son told the waiters to fill the jars with water and take some to the waiter in charge. And you know the story, the water became the very finest wine available. Just do whatever He tells you and you shall have your miracle.
And think of the five loaves and two fish to feed a multitude of over 5,000 people! Seems much too little to even begin. But My Son took them up and thanked Me for them! Do that even if what you have seems very little. Lift it up to Me in thanksgiving and ask Me to bless it. I will multiply it a hundred fold. And the bread was multiplied and all ate till they were full and then the left overs filled twelve baskets.
And once Samson routed a whole army with just the jaw bone of a donkey.
And how about Gideon? He was busy hiding from the enemy when I first appeared to him. But I turned him into a Hero of strength. And he finally routed an entire enemy that were too many to count, with just three hundred men, trumpets, and earthenware jars with a candle in each one.
And think of Elijah in the famine. First I sent ravens each morning and evening with bread and meat for him. Small birds with an extraordinary mission. And after a time I I stopped that means of support because there was a widow and her son who needed a blessing in their lives to survive.
And so I sent Elijah to the widow and all she had was a jug with a little oil and a jug with a bit of flour, she thought it was to be her last meal with her son and then they would die. But she did not know Me, the God of abundance. And I went forth and multiplied that oil and flour so that she and all her household, including Elijah, had enough to eat for over a year.
My servant Paul put it this way, “We seem to have nothing yet everything is ours.”
I choose the weak things of the world to confound the strong.
If you will note, I never did a miracle where there was plenty but only in the places of lack.
And the greatest gift of all came to you as a tiny baby wrapped in swaddling clothes in a manger in a tiny town called Bethlehem. And He changed everything for everyone from the beginning to the end of time and on into eternity. Selah.
Do you qualify? The less and least you are and have, the more you are in line for doing and receiving a great miracle. So cheer up, your redemption is near at hand.
I love you. You are highly favored and most blest in the Beloved. And I supply for all your needs according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Never despise a small beginning. And never hold back from your calling because you think you do not have enough. I can do a lot with very little. Out of the mouths of infants and suckling babies I have fashioned praise to take down the enemy.
