I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. Psalm 91:14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I have called you by name, you are Mine. What you call by name is yours in the sense that you know them and they know you.
The LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.” Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the Name of the LORD before you. Exodus 33:17-19.
When Moses encountered Me on Mt. Horeb I called him by name. And what did he ask Me? My Name. And when I told him My Name it was a name that described who I am to those who are Mine. I AM with you always but there is more, My Name that you translate as LORD is a verbal noun, derived from three tenses of the Hebrew verb “to be,” (היה, hayah), encapsulating the ideas of “I am,” “I was,” and “I will be” or “I am to come.” Essentially, it expresses My eternal existence across all time: I am, I was, and I am to come.
But what does My Name tell you? That I am there for you in every facet of your life to make it a perfect life as I am perfect.
Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48.
I have access to and can rewrite your past by removing all the sin and accrediting My righteousness to you. I am your rear guard.
I have access to the future, I speak the end from the beginning, and for you it is a happy ending, though with Me your life never ends. I go before you giving you a future and a hope that is beautiful beyond all you can ask or imagine. I have already walked and prepared the paths I have all set for you to walk in for a life of good deeds. As I told Abraham, I am your exceedingly great reward. And that is huge.
And I am always with you where you are now making all things work together for good for you who love Me and are called according to My purpose for your life, which is always a Kingdom purpose which is the glory. And the glory is the exercise of My immense power towards you producing goodness and eradicating all evil.
Moses had never had a meaningful conversation with Me until we called each other by name, even though I was always present protecting, delivering and blessing him from when his mother refused to follow Pharaoh’s commands and put him in a basket floating down the river to the very day he walked across the mountainside with his father-in-law’s sheep and had an encounter with Me that changed the course of his life. He went from insignificant in the eyes of the world to a man who took down an entire nation and redeemed over two million people from slavery with his shepherd staff. But I had told him the reason he could do all this in a manner that seemed single handed, I would be with him. When he obeyed My Word the power was in it to produce the result it contained.
“Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” And He said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.” Exodus 33:10-12.
After Moses’ departed this world, I told Joshua to take over the leadership and take My people in to possess the land I had given them as an inheritance. I called Joshua by name and told him as I had been with Moses, so I would be with him. And Joshua was intensely loyal to Me and called Me by Name saying that no matter what idol others chose to worship, he and his household were serving Me, the LORD (יהוה).
Joshua spent his days and nights following My command to meditate on My Word and not to deviate from it in what he thought, spoke, or acted so that he made his way and the way for over two million Israelites successful and prosperous. And when he was near coming home to Me, he told the Israelites that I was a faithful God, true to My Word, for he had witnesses in the physical realm every one of My promises fulfilled, preformed, and accomplished. All who call upon My name are saved.
Eternal life is to know Me and Jesus, the one I sent to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. And a good place to start to know Me is with My Name and the Covenant promise names I give you that are signed with My Name.
I am the LORD your healer. When you call upon My Name as the LORD your healer you are saved, that is, healed of your afflictions. Know that Name and speak it with faith and I will perform My promise.
I am the LORD who looks ahead and provides for you. Know My Name and when you are in a tight spot call upon My Name and because you know My Name you know that the provision is already there for you. You just need to turn to Me to know that solution. Like when Moses turned to Me with the fear of over two million people and changed heir mourning into dancing and their imagined defeat into certain victory. When you know My Name, I lift you inaccessibly high. I am the Most High and it was Melchizedek that first identified Me as such. El Elyon. No one and noting is higher.
Adam, Noah, and Abraham knew Me as the one who blesses for those were My first words to identify Myself to each of them. They all also knew Me as the God who was their source of all and upon whom they depended from birth.
Abraham also knew My Name as provider, the eternal God, his shield, and his very great reward. He knew and understood the blessing and passed it on in his bloodline.
Moses knew Me as LORD, always being there to do wonders for My people to rescue, redeem, and deliver them. I introduced Myself to him as the one who heard their cries and came down with outstretched arm and open hand to answer, redeem, protect, and guide them out of the oppression they were under to the freedom of My children reigning with Me in life as they increased in all good things. He also knew Me as the LORD your healer and the LORD your banner, miracle, and victory.
Knowing the joy of My love is knowing Me by Name as I call you to Me by your name in faithfulness, truth, and love. All My Covenant promise names are fulfilled to you and confirmed by Me to you in Jesus. He is My great “Amen” as He confirms every Name by being your healer, provider (shepherd), righteousness, peace, redeemer, and savior. And He tells you His Name and promise Names as well—the resurrection and the life, the way, the truth and the life, the bread of life, the door, the light of the world, the good shepherd, and the vine, all these describe who He is to you who know Him by Name. And His names tell you what My Will is for your life—healed, blessed, forgiven, favored, as you call upon His Name, Yeshuah (Salvation) and are saved. For every knee must bow to My salvation.
I love you. I know your name. In fact, I have a special name for you, carved on a precious stone of great value that no one knows but Me and you.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it. Revelation 2:17.
