God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Jesus is the Way to Kingdom living. Jesus is the Way to beauty and glory. Jesus is the Way to shalom (wholeness in every area of your life). Jesus is the Way to Love. Jesus is the Way to being made holy, blameless, and beyond reproach, but above all Jesus is the Way to Oneness with Me in total regeneration and reconciliation. And that is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And that is eternal life. Eternal life is in Me and it is manifested and given as a gift to you in My Son.
What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us—what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. 1 John 1:1-4.
Jesus always did what pleased Me.
So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” John 8:28-29.
What pleased Me most? He gave Me what I have sought in every person since the beginning. Before I give you the answer, look back and see what I have sought.
I made man in My own image and according to My likeness. You are My offspring. I made you like Myself to be with Me, to do things together with Me, to rule and reign with Me. It is not good for man to be alone, he needs a helper, a partner, someone to share with and enjoy things together. He needs someone to share his heart with that has love and concern for him. It is not good for Me to be alone either. I make things to delight My family and that is My delight, to be with you and you with Me in the unity of agreement in purpose and plan because we understand and support one another in love. Each one looking to the other’s interests as their own, because they are.
From the start I walked with Adam in the Garden and then with Adam and Eve. We had fellowship. When they broke that off, I sought it with their children. They were not interested in keeping up the relationship. I then found Noah and his willingness to walk with Me and fellowship with Me saved the entire human race. And then I found Abraham, my friend. I introduced Myself as who I am, the one who blesses you to be a blessing. The one who increases you more and more. The one who makes your life so fruitful it blesses every person on the earth. And he grew to trust Me, lean on Me, follow My guidance, and died at a ripe old age fully satisfied.
It was then his descendants, who through his fellowship with Me, learned to fellowship with Me. But it became only those whose hearts sought that relationship whom I could walk with and trust not to turn on Me in treachery as Adam did. Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, Leah, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, and on and on, but generally only a few each generation were willing to fellowship with Me constantly. I came to dwell among them and travel with them in the tabernacle that Moses built at My direction with the workers I endowed with skill and fellowship.
David understood Me better than others because he loved Me with all his heart and it caused him to talk with and sing to Me constantly, finally moved him as king to share this call with others and institute songs with musical instruments before My presence all day and night year after year of his reign. He never wanted it broken so he appointed 288 Levites who drew lots so that teams of 12 covered every day and night to sing psalms before Me. That caused the golden age of Israel when it was unconquerable and prosperous in the real meaning of that word. But Solomon’s heart turned from Me and the fellowship ceased.
Jesus is the primary and ultimate example of fellowship. He constantly referred everything to Me out of His tremendous love, honor, and affection for Me. He had no hindrances or doubts as to My goodness and My interest in Him and My people. He knew His mission and to do My Will was His delight and raised Him up to glory, the glory He had with Me that He laid aside to take on your humanity in its fullness, humbling Himself by laying aside His powers as God and taking human form as a servant to Me and you. And though emptied of His powers as God, He sought Me and communicated with Me constantly, sometimes all night and always early in the morning when it was quiet and the crowds were not there yet.
He kept all My commandments and abided in My love.
Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. John 15:9-10.
So you know He kept the two most important ones. He loved Me with all His heart, soul, mind and strength (that includes every part of humanity: spirit, soul, and body) and love you His neighbors better even than Himself. Your interests were more important to Him than His own and always will be. He has everything and He wants to give everything to you. And I have given you everything in Him. Including the way to come to Me without hindrance—with all that divides us in rebellion, separation, and sin gone and borne by Him who knew no sin but became sin for you to give you My righteousness through Him, the Lord your righteousness.
To Me, though, the most important thing of all is that He cleansed you in His blood, and by His Word so you were born again from above and He then poured the Holy Spirit into your new heart awakened to Me and you became My dwelling place through your access to My throne of grace in the Holy Spirit from within your heart. NOW WE CAN FELLOWSHIP WITHOUT ANYTHING DIVIDING US FROM PERFECT COMMUNICATION. And that is the Way. It is a Way of fellowship between us and among you, Me and all believers as well. Private and corporate you can be one with and hear from Me.
Jesus defined eternal life as fellowship, that is, knowing fellowship:
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.
Let Me take this definition of eternal life on upward to My definition of fellowship:
FELLOWSHIP IS DIVINE COMMUNICATION WITH A HEART OPEN AND PREPARED THAT GIVES REVELATIONOF WHO I AM.
John the Baptist came to prepare the hearts of the people to receive Jesus when He came so their hearts were prepared for fellowship with My Son and through, with, and in Him were prepared and cleansed for fellowship with Me.
John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Luke 3:16.
My eyes roam to and fro across the earth looking for those whose hearts are towards Me. Why? I can talk with them and entrust them with My secrets, with My covenant.
Fellowship unites you with Me and makes you partakers of My divine nature. Fellowship raises you up from the natural to the supernatural, from the carnal to the spirit. Flesh and blood cannot inherit eternal life. You are spirit.
Fellowship with Me reveals to you who I am. It is a revelation of My goodness. When Moses asked to see Me and know Me, he asked to see My glory, that is, My presence and power. And what did I answer? I will show you My goodness.
O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8.
How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You before the sons of men! Psalm 31:19.
In fellowship you will find the truth of who I am to you and who you are to Me—the revelation of love, goodness, care, and interest. I am for you and not against you.
Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call; this I know, that God is for me. Psalm 56:9.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Romans 8:31-34.
Get to know Me as I know you. And you will be surprised to find how very interested I am in you and your having a prosperous, healthy, successful, fruitful and wonderful life living out with Me the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance in Christ Jesus. Let us do your beautiful life together. Let Me lavish My grace on you. I long to do so.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. Ephesians 1:7-8.
I love you. I live, I forgive, I bless, I sustain, I reward, I make fruitful what was barren, I supply, I provide, I rescue, I save, I direct, I protect, I inspire, I answer, I help and I guide, and everything else good that pertains to life or godliness you will find in Me.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:16-17.
Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin.” Exodus 34:6-7.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14.
