You do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Many people will say that I do not talk to them. But that is not true. I want all to know Me from the least to the greatest, that is My Will, and you do not know someone you do not talk with. Also, I tell you that My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they know Me and follow Me. I also tell you that when you ask, you receive answers. And when you call on Me I tell you great and mighty things you could not know.
I will hear what God the LORD will say; for He will speak shalom to His people, to His godly ones; but let them not turn back to folly. Psalm 85:8.
From the beginning to the end, the Bible is a book full of My conversations with people and I talk with everyone. I talked with Adam and Eve, I talked with Cain and Abel, and I kept on talking with Cain trying to set him on the right path even after he murdered his brother out of envy. I talked with Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Hagar, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, Leah, and I could go on and on all the way to right this second.
Why is it people say they do not hear anything? Three reasons: They don’t talk to Me, they don’t listen to Me, and they do not expect to hear anything from Me.
For the heart of this people has become dull, with their ears they scarcely hear, and they have closed their eyes, otherwise they would see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart and return, and I would heal them.’ Matthew 13:15.
They are like straying sheep with no shepherd and no matter how much I call they refuse to turn to Me. Their attention is elsewhere. Some are so busy worrying that they cannot hear the answers to their problems that are right in front of them. Like Hagar when Sarah and Abraham sent her away with Ishmael into the wilderness and thought they would die of thirst and I had a spring right in front of her eyes, but she never saw it until I spoke with her and she listened and obeyed. Others are so caught up in making money or pursuing other things that they work almost round the clock and never stop long enough to talk with Me, though they do find time with others. Like Saul chasing David round the clock with the army of Israel. But David was listening to My warnings of how to avoid him and consequently never got caught or killed. Others just ignore the invitation like the guests invited to the wedding feast of the King’s son because they are busy with other pursuits. Like Martha who would not sit down and listen to Jesus even when He was in her living room. She just stayed in the kitchen.
But whatever the reason people ignore My voice, I am talking to you from the rising to the setting of the sun.
The Mighty One, God, the LORD, has spoken, and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. Psalm 50:1
And if you think you do not hear, you have a whole book of My Words to read and learn My voice. Read the Word until My Word speaks to your heart and in hearing My Word you are hearing Me for I am My Word. And you are the words you speak as well.
Another reason people to not ask or speak with Me, even if they recite prayers or novenas, is because they do not look through problems but only at them and they have no faith for the resolution. They say they do, but in their heart they don’t. They never got My Word in them so they do not mix My promises with faith and cannot receive them. And when you are just begging and telling Me what you want or reciting others begging prayers you will not be open to hear the answer because you are focused on only the result you have decided upon. But there is a way that seems right to a man that ends in death. Lean not on your own understanding of a situation when you can get Mine which sees all aspects of it, including the end from the beginning.
Abraham learned faith from Me and how to use it as a tool. At first he did not understand and always spoke the circumstances that he saw physically that stopped him from receiving the promised son. Sarah was the same. They both knew she could never conceive when she was young and now she was past normal child bearing age. And that was what they focused on. They did not have joy in the end I presented to them of a miracle child. Same was true of Zechariah about John, but Elizabeth did have the faith and had joy for the result before she saw it. She rejoiced that I was acting on her behalf. Zechariah just recited that he was old and so was Elizabeth. Which canceled My Words to him of joy though he had prayed for a child for many years.
But back to Abraham and Sarah. Once I changed their names they spoke the promise constantly, I changed Abram to Abraham. Abraham means the father of a multitude (nations) and Sarah means “princess” and that is how I saw her and how I saw Abraham because I see the end from the beginning and that is why I have so much joy, pure joy, for I see you in the Kingdom to come as My joyful and fruitful family delighting in Me, in your salvation, and in the works of My hands beyond all you can ask or imagine. But once Abraham and Sarah got the faith through the calling, the child was conceived and born. They were finally fully persuaded I more than willing and able to perform My promises.
Now you see Abraham acting on this with joy. When I shared with him what I would do for you in Jesus by giving My beloved Son as your burnt offering to take away your sins and the sins of the whole world by asking him to do the same. He was right on it and immediately took Isaac, the wood and the fire to Mt. Moriah as I had instructed. But was he worried? No he looked through the problem to the joy of resurrection. He told the two men holding the donkey that he and Isaac would go sacrifice and both return safe and sound. But he fully intended to carry out the sacrifice. But he looked through the problem to the joy on the other side and told the attendants he and Isaac would return shortly and he told Isaac when questioned on where the sacrifice was for them to offer that I myself would supply the lamb for the burnt offering. And both came to pass by a ram caught in the thicket and in the future the life, death, and resurrection of My Son.
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son; it was he to whom it was said, “In Isaac your descendants shall be called.” He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type. Hebrews 11:17-19.
And what is the joy that lies before you in every trial of this world? You are headed for the Kingdom of Heaven and that is guaranteed if you are in Jesus. Heaven is on the other side of every problem you face, even now.
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2.
And you are already seated there with Him. You have the answer. You have joy unspeakable filled with glory for you are running towards the goal of faith, total redemption of spirit, soul, and body so that you are not just seated in Heaven in your spirit but in every part of you. Heaven is real and there is nothing but perfect joy there and that is where you will be as well. Forever and it is your possession if you have believed the good news of your salvation for if you have, I have sealed you in Jesus by the Holy Spirit as a pledge of your possession of full redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14.
Come to Me with joy in every trial, every question, every project, every detail of your life and you will find I have all the answers you are seeking. Why is that? I make all things work together for good for those who love Me and are called according to the purpose.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose. Romans 8:28.
Do you know and believe that? If you do you will always look through the problem to the joy on the other side.
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And let perseverance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4.
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of perseverance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. Hebrews 10:35-36.
Just ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, and knock and it is opened for you. But be sure what you are seeking is promised in My Word and do not be seeking the evil one. Love never harms the neighbor.
When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem; and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him. But they did not receive Him, because He was traveling toward Jerusalem. When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” but He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” Luke 9:51-56.
What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:1-4.
I love you. It is time you drew near to Me to talk with Me. What about? Everything.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
