But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God () says:
Is your life a mess? Are you frustrated, unorganized, depressed, and seemingly unable to get out from under what you have dug yourself into or have been thrown into? Then it is time you turned to Me for help and began to walk in your spirit and not in your flesh. It is time you hooked up with My Spirit. It is time you realized that you who have received and confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart I raised Him from the dead have One in you who is greater the one who is in the world. And His Name is the Holy Spirit. He is My Spirit and the Spirit of Jesus and I have given Him as My gift to those who are in Jesus. And as everything, I give My promise of the Spirit to you through Jesus.
He is hovering in you and over you as He was in the beginning of the creation of the heavens and earth. And what is He waiting for? For you to put Him to work by your words just as I did. But you must understand something, He is My Spirit and He only responds to My Words for I breathe them forth by Him.
All Words I speak are formed deep within Me—first visualized and then formed into plans filled with wonders, beauty and glory and then sent forth as My Word and inspired into man’s speech by My Spirit. Divine inspiration.
My Word is Spirit breathed into you for your edification, exhortation, encouragement, enlightenment, impartation, and revelation and to give life to your mortal body and raise you up by resurrection power to breathe eternal life into you on the Last Day.
I tell you that people under the inspiration of My Spirit wrote My Word down in what is called the Bible. Inspiration has two meanings, it is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative, and it also means the drawing in of breath; which is also called “inhalation.” When I raised Jesus from the dead and He showed Himself to His disciples in the upper room, He breathed on them and said “Receive the Holy Spirit, as the Father has sent Me so I send you.” New life in their born again spirit and divine revelation of new plans and callings.
My Word is God-breathed, which is Spirit-breathed. But more than that, it is there as your servant to manifest and do what it promises. Jesus is My Word and He came to serve Me and you and not to be served. And My Word is the same yesterday, today and forever. It is imperishable and incorruptible seed that when planted, cultivated, and harvested will produce what is in the seed. And how is this process possible that My Word in your mouth is performed? My Spirit witnesses with your spirit and it is established in the earth by the two witnesses. Two spirits in agreement as one is powerful.
I tell you to imitate Me as My dear children, and to imitate Me you must walk in the Spirit, for I am Spirit. And I tell you that to imitate Me you must walk in love. Ephesians 5:1. The fruit which My Spirit produces with your spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. These are My characteristics and they are all produced from and with love for I am love and love is to be your source for all in all.
You cannot bring the flesh into the spirit realm; they do not mix. The pure and the impure cannot coincide and reside with each other. They are on opposite sides of the continuum. People that are too much in the flesh cannot come fully into the light, you cannot be partly in the darkness and partly in the light. Do not let the flesh into your assemblies even if you think that is the way to draw in the unsaved to salvation. You are not saved by giving into the flesh but by putting the flesh to death by the spirit. And by the flesh I mean the life that fights to be free of My laws and to live by the things of the world, that is, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life.
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17.
Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever. Jude 1:11-13.
And do not let flesh into your life of worship. When you begin trying to worship Me out of your fleshly emotions and desires it is not wisdom from on high. It is not pure, and you cannot mix flesh and spirit and get the right fruit and authority over evil.
For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:5-8.
So what is the solution to this dichotomy of flesh and spirit? You will find the answer in what Jesus gave the Samaritan woman at the well, she was bound by flesh but longed for the freedom of the Spirit, she needed release and she needed to drink of the living water so that she would never thirst again, for the things of the flesh were not quenching her thirst, but making her burn for more. And the answer comes in what I am seeking.
If you want to know how to get out of your mess, and that longing was in the heart of the Samaritan woman, for her life was a mess when she met Jesus by the well, but she soon found out that in finding Jesus, rather in His seeking and finding her, she had come upon the true wellspring of Salvation that had all the answers and grace she needed to live the life she was born to live—a meaningful life lived in the freedom of the spirit and not in the captivity of the flesh.
And what is that answer?
But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24.
Jesus was giving her the key to a wonderful life. And it is the key of David and the key to the floodgates of Heaven. It is the key of worship in spirit and truth. And I am seeking such people to be My worshippers. There is nothing about self in their worship it is about knowing Me and when you really know who I am worship becomes your lifestyle. It is a life of awe and wonder as you watch in love at all that I do each day in and around you. It is looking past the problem to the problem solver in an exercise of your will that takes you from fear to ever increasing faith.
Worship and praise is exercising your authority over the evil one. It is treading on him and stepping over him as you go forward and do not let him trip up your walk with Me. It is a life of unshakable joy and perfect peace.
What does it mean to worship in spirit and in truth? The basic answer is it means that you are living in faith, for walking in the spirit is walking by faith in My Word and not by sight of the things of the flesh that look contrary to My Word. My Word is truth and it sanctifies you (sets you apart) in truth. If you have My Word and put your faith in it, your life will stand out and you will not be able to escape notice for you will shine like bright lights in a dark world. Joy and peace are attractive. The early Christian community, even in the face of severe persecution could not but be filled with joy and the Holy Spirit and just in their first beginnings they had attracted over 8,000 people.
David was, and still is, a worshipper. He found being with Me his chief delight and thirsted for My presence and to behold My beauty and inquire of Me in My house. And that is worship. Worship is not timid and it does not hide its joy or worry about its prestige and self-image. David was so caught up in the joy of bringing My presence signified by the ark of the covenant to dwell in a tent he pitched beside his palace that he threw decorum to the four winds and danced his heart out before Me as he brought Me up to be close by him. He was leaping, dancing and shouting with a joyful noise.
And David was dancing before the LORD with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel were bringing up the ark of the LORD with shouting and the sound of the trumpet. Then it happened as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart. 2 Samuel 6:14-16.
But David did not care what anyone thought about him, he just knew joy unspeakable and filled with glory when he walked in My presence and he would break out dancing as well as singing he was so filled with love in the Spirit.
Worship in Spirit and truth is the inflow and outflow of your relationship with Me, for you only can truly know another in the spirit. The flesh is useless it is My Spirit that gives life. There can be no true worship where there is no true knowledge. Worship flows from truth, the truth of who I am: Love. And I pour My love in your heart through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Worship is a flow of love.
Worship is done at My throne of grace with your great High Priest Jesus, the High Priest of your confession (homologia: your speaking the same words in total oneness of agreement). Jesus, as your forerunner, has entered behind the veil, so that you too can cross the Dividing Line by a new and living way and enjoy complete oneness with Me, where I open Myself to you and you to Me so that you see Me as I am and you are transformed in My Light to the YOU I made YOU to be. Worship flows in an understanding of each other in mutual respect, trust and love, I honor you and you honor Me, as we walk in agreement of purpose. And that is Covenant, and you enter the New and Everlasting Covenant where all I have is yours and your all is Mine in Jesus and you flow with Me, the Father, through the perfect connection of Jesus who brings you up to My level and brings My divinity to the level of your humanity in the Godman Jesus Christ that joins God and Man as one in the divine person of My Son. Here is the true Holy of Holies, a place of worship in Spirit and Truth. WORSHIP IS A CONTINUOUS FLOW OF LOVE AND HONOR BETWEEN YOU AND ME WHERE EACH VALUES THE OTHER AND EACH FINDS THE OTHER PRECIOUS.
I love you. Walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh and you will know peace that surpasses understanding. There is a place called grace, and it is a place of worship.
