But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

The joy of knowing My love will give you a beautiful life. The beauty of a life following My Word. If you follow My Word you will not sin and it is sin that makes a person’s life an ugly mess. It was the separation caused by sin that shut Adam and Eve out of the beautiful garden of Eden. Their lives became toilsome and painful.

How do you keep your life from being a place of strife, stress, offense, fear and toil? For it grieves Me, but that describes the life of many today, even those who should be glowing with health and prosperity as My children as lights for all the world to see. I guide you in paths of righteousness for My Names sake, but that means you have to follow Me to walk there instead of wandering off into the darkness of the valley of the shadow of death, even though I will lead you out of there as well but you should not have gone there to begin with. And how do I get you out? I set a table before you in the sight of your enemies. I give you My Word. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions.

But how do you keep from going into darkness in the first place?

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33.

In every circumstance, in every decision, in every course you take, seek Me first and seek Me earnestly. In Psalm 63, David describes seeking Me as his great thirst for Me and My counsel. He seeks Me earnestly but in Hebrew this is the verb “Shachar (שָׁחַר),” which means to seek diligently, earnestly, but as I have told you before that in Hebrew every verb has a noun it is derived from and the noun “Shachar (שַׁחַר),” means dawn, daybreak, explaining when you are seeking earnestly you start at dawn, at the beginning of the day, not late in the afternoon.

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1.

Let Me show you your dream, let Me give you the plan, let Me lead you today to your promised land. Don’t have any fear, I am always here, at your side within and without, I have compassed you about making your life beautiful and new, singing My songs in you, singing My songs with you!

Seek Me first, before you get in the mess or before you stand there idle all day. Go to My vineyard, there is much to do.

And it is not just to get My direction but then to stand firm once you have My Word on the matter you have presented. When I have pointed to you the correct path to take and the solution to the matter, do not be persuaded out of it by any other source. Stand in My strength and put on My armor which I have given you. It is simply walking in the truth and refusing to turn off it to the right or the left. My Word is truth.

Sometimes the results seem to be taking too long so people give up their hope and do not continue to try. My Word will come to pass but there are times when others are blocking the results. Consider Joshua and Caleb, they believed that I would give them the Promised Land and wanted to go in immediately to conquer but their constituents refused to go in and wandered in the desert for forty years. Many people would have given up on My promise and just thought it failed to come, but that was not the case. Joshua and Caleb kept such a lively faith that neither one grew old in that time but kept their strength and vigor and were able to go in the lead younger people in the conquest. Once you have My Word on a matter, stick with it and do not let  yourself be talked out of it. What I told Abraham seemed impossible but he was fully persuaded that what I said would come to pass and it did when he was one hundred years old and Sarah was ninety-five years old. He refused to consider the circumstances and just kept his attention on My promise because he believed I was trustworthy.

Seek My Kingdom and My righteousness. What does that mean? If you recall, when I redeemed My people out of the slavery of Egypt as they journeyed with Me to the land I had promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we were on a Kingdom journey and I was teaching them righteousness by My Word and by the offerings and sacrifices of the Tabernacle. And what happened about their daily needs for food, shelter, clothing, and water? They were all added to them with no toil, no sweat, and no trouble. The Manna fell from Heaven every morning on the dewfall all around their camp wherever they had moved across the desert on their journey and I would bring forth water from the flinty rocks. Their feet did not swell and their shoes and clothes did not wear out. And all that provision ended up being provided every day for forty years with no one planting, sowing, reaping, working, or toiling.

“You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, Your manna You did not withhold from their mouth, and You gave them water for their thirst. Indeed, forty years You provided for them in the wilderness and they were not in want; their clothes did not wear out, nor did their feet swell.” Nehemiah 9:20-21.

Then fast forward to the disciples of Jesus. When He sent them out on Kingdom business He told them to carry no provisions with them, not even money, as they went about preaching the Kingdom, healing the sick, and raising the dead. And what did they say?

And He said to them, “When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?” They said, “No, nothing.” Luke 22:35.

Those who do not believe, who have no faith, are not seeking the Kingdom or My righteousness, they are only seeking to fill the needs of their flesh, so it is a frantic never-ending cycle of the meals for the day, the clothes to wear, the house to buy or the rental to pay, the neighbors to impress. It keeps them toiling for all their lives on earth for the necessities of each day and too many will overspend using credit cards and loans to buy items of luxury that they cannot afford in the vicious cycle they are in for the needs and desires of their flesh. Their god is their belly and their goal is worldly wealth so that they can one day stop the toil and still be able to eat and have shelter in a nice place. And they end in the same cycle that they never have been able to free themselves from. They live to eat rather than eating to live.

When you seek the Kingdom, you are seeking the abundance of grace, for the Kingdom opened to you by My grace and that grace comes to you in Jesus who took away all your sins and ushered you into Kingdom while still on earth. When you seek righteousness, you are seeking to be a new creation in Christ. He put you under an open Heaven, just like the Manna falling on My people on their Kingdom journey to the Promised Land. And now He is the true bread come down from Heaven for you to eat and never die.

You are on a Kingdom journey, you are headed home, and you have an assignment that whatever area of the world or work it is, it is a Kingdom assignment for your life. How good for the one I find busy about My business when I come. It is the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance as My workmanship in Christ Jesus.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.

Do you see? Like the journey from the slavery of Egypt to the Promised Land, it is all prepared. All you have to do is walk it out and all will be added to you along the way. All you need has already been set aside and is waiting for you to show up by faith and walk it out. Seek first the Kingdom and My righteousness and you become a new creation in Christ. And you reign in life through Him.

For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.

Lack, sickness, and death do not reign over you, you reign with Christ in My Kingdom even now.

And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever. Revelation 22:5.

I love you. You do not need to fear that I will not provide for you. Just work on Kingdom business and everything will be added to you. Indeed, it has pleased Me to give to you, the sheep of My flock, over whom I have appointed your good Shepherd, Jesus, the Kingdom and the gift of My righteousness. Be about My business wherever I send you for in you is the Light that the world is looking for.
