For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the flesh. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
What are you looking for and what do you want? Are you willing to rise early and persevere in prayer for it? Then you are serious about it. When a mountain of opposition is in the way are you ready to prevail in prayer? You have to overcome it and move it.
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.
What is Jesus talking about when He tells you never to give up but persist till you get justice done?
Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart. Luke 18:1.
Why did Jesus rise early and pray in deep communion with Me and sometimes pray all night? Prevailing prayer.
You are not prevailing against Me, I am for you and give you good things as soon as you ask, but here I am talking about pursuing the outcome I want in any situation, getting My Will done on earth as it is in Heaven. YOU ARE WORKING WITH ME TO MOVE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OBSTACLES TO MY WILL BEING DONE AND PULLING DOWN THE STRONGHOLDS THAT THE DEVIL HAS ERECTED IN VARIOUS PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS.
Prevailing prayer is using your faith (which comes from knowing My Word which defines My Will in what you are facing) with Me to obtain a miraculous result that requires other people to further your purpose that you know from My Word.
This kind of prayer is like hitting a gusher and releasing it against all opposition through prayer. It can be corporate or individual. It is conceived by a Word from Me, then born the prayer of faith, and through the speaking the command of the result followed by the voice of thanksgiving. It is a spiritual force that when released moves the minds of men to follow the direction you want them to turn.
The king’s heart is channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes. Proverbs 21:1.
And then in this kind of prevailing prayer, when you feel in the Spirit the movement of the mountain of opposition in the favorable direction you immediately run with the direction that will come to you from Me out of that prayer, such as the person to call or the place to go to get the result you want. And as you go you keep your attention on Me for continuing direction.
Remember in this kind of prayer it is you working with Me to prevail over strongholds set up by the enemy in people, places and things. In people it can be the spirit of disobedience, those who have been taken captive to do his will, hardened hearts, nastiness, or just indifference. In places, it is enclaves of darkness, which can be a gang, a family, a home, a city, a nation, or an organization. Things can be the weather, accidents, earthquakes, atmospheric disturbances, and all charms, sorcery, idols, structures and products.
You may be wondering how you pray prevailing prayer. Look to My Word, the Bible, for everything you have questions about and you will find not just one Scripture but many that will address what you are seeking to know. But first seek My Spirit in you for direction to the appropriate one for the moment. But you do not have to look far. My Son gave you the perfect foundational model for all prayers of My royal priesthood, for He released you from your sins by His blood, made you holy and blameless (free of accusation) before Me so you can come with confidence to My throne of grace to receive mercy and grace as My royal priesthood offering spiritual sacrifice unto to Me in Spirit and in truth. And those are the worshippers I seek, for they are powerful in pulling down strongholds with My heavenly weapons found in prayer. So let us begin:
- So we begin, “Our Father.” Relationship: Know your relationship to Me as you come into My presence for prayer in the secret place, that is, the Holy of Holies. As many as receive Jesus, He empowers to be My children, being born again from above by the incorruptible seed of My Word. And I reveal that I am a good Father who gives you only good things and perfect gifts and that My door and My heart are ALWAYS open to you to come and stay. And you are coming in union with your brother Jesus, your Kinsman Redeemer, with whom you are a joint heir and in whom you are seated at My right hand. And you are coming one with Him, and as a member of His body, one with every believer on earth and in Heaven.
- “Who art in Heaven.” Position: Take your place with Jesus at My right hand and come up here and I will show you what is to come.
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Revelation 4:1.
My Holy Spirit reveals to you the things to come. John 16:12-13. I have promised you this, make sure you take hold of that promise by listening to Him.
Pause here a moment to consider where you are in the spirit and what they are doing as My family there and you should take part as well, for you have come to the heavenly Zion, the church of the firstborn. And that is seen and participated in, in the very next line of the prayer:
- “Hallowed be Your Name.” Worship: Holy, holy, holy! Worthy is the Lamb!
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.” Revelation 4:8.
You enter My gates with thanksgiving and My courts with hymns of praise. Come praising your royal mandate and the sacred duty entrusted to you as My royal priests offering spiritual sacrifice. And what are they holding there in worship up to Me?
When He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. Revelation 5:8.
It is your prayers they are holding up to Me, your morning and evening prayers with the blood of the Lamb. Do you see something from this? You are never praying alone. And over and with your prayers they were singing a new song saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10.
Do not think your priestly prayer as you come to My throne with My Son, your great High Priest, is not being heard. Not only is it held up to Me in the golden bowls of righteousness but also is being placed by the angels on the golden altar of incense before My throne. And the response is a wonder!
Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Revelation 8:3-5.
Your prayers get results that shake and move things on earth. Where do you think that earthquake that followed the songs of thanksgiving and praise that Paul and Silas were sending up to My throne came from in that prison that opened all the gates and loosed all the chains holding the prisoners captive came from? The golden altar of incense and its censer. And how about the shaking of the place of prayer as the early church gathered in prevailing prayer against the opposition to the Name of Jesus?
And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. . . When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and said, “O Lord, it is You who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said, ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples devise futile things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’ For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Child Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur. And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence, while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:18;23-31.
Shake down the devil’s strongholds and enclaves of darkness with prevailing prayer. Shake the wealth of the nations into the church.
‘As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!’ For thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the LORD of hosts. ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.” Haggai 2:5-9.
And as you hold up My Name in praise, partake in My magnificent promises as set forth in My Covenant promise Names! Do you know them? They are all through the Bible:
The LORD your healer, Exodus 15:26, the LORD who sees ahead and provides for you, Genesis 22:14, the LORD who is there for you, Ezekiel 48:35, the LORD your Shepherd, Psalm 23:1;Ezekiel 34:16; John 10:11, the LORD your Righteousness, Jeremiah 23:6, 2 Corinthians 5:21, the LORD your banner (victory, miracle), Exodus 17:15, 1 Corinthians 15:57, the LORD your peace, Judges 6:24, John 14:27, the LORD your fortress, 2 Samuel 22:2, the LORD your shield, Genesis 15:1; Psalm 144:2, the LORD your Refuge, Deuteronomy 33:27, the LORD your strength, Psalm 18:2, the LORD your rock, Psalm 18:2, the LORD your sanctifier, Exodus 31:13, Leviticus 20:8, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, the LORD your redeemer, Isaiah 43:14; and the LORD your Savior, Isaiah 49:26. And many more there for you to call upon just when you need that promise.
“Because you cling to Me in love,” says the LORD, “I deliver you. I protect you because you know My Name. When you call to Me, I answer you; I am with you in trouble; I rescue you and honor you. With long life I satisfy you and show you My salvation (Yeshuah).” Psalm 91:14-16.
My Name is a strong tower, you run into it and are saved (lifted high, too high for the enemy to touch you). Proverbs 18:10.
- “Your Kingdom Come.” This is the call for Jesus to return and Daniel’s vision of the cornerstone not hewn with hands that took down all the enclaves of evil in the nations and raised up My mountain in the earth, My Kingdom that conquered all kingdoms by the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and you will be riding back with Him, and He hands that Kingdom over to you. But there is another layer here to. As Jesus preached, “Repent and believe in the good news, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” You who are My people, born again from above, have the access within you by My Spirit to the Kingdom where I have already seated you when I raised you with and in Christ. And I want Kingdom living, Kingdom giving, and Kingdom results on the earth even now. Healings, signs, wonders are all the Kingdom touching the earth. I have put My Words in your mouth, covered you with the shadow of My hand and put My Spirit in you and on you so that you may plant Heaven and establish it upon the earth. Take down the strongholds of Satan and raise up My Kingdom on the earth. Take territory, everywhere your feet tread is redemption ground.
Now on the same night the LORD said to him, “Take your father’s bull and a second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal which belongs to your father, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it; and build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this stronghold in an orderly manner, and take a second bull and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.” Judges 6:25-26.
- “Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” This is the time for intercession and prevailing prayer, this is the time to go for the tearing down of strongholds and enclaves of darkness and set the captives free by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony. Revelation 12:11. This is the time to ask Me for the nations that you may call them back to Me.
“Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, and a nation which knows you not will run to you, because of the LORD your God, even the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” Isaiah 55:5.
This is also a time for binding what is bound in Heaven and loosing what is loosed in Heaven upon the earth.
Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:18-20.
Pray My Will into the earth. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from destruction, Psalm 107:20, and swiftly runs My Word.
He makes your borders peace; He satisfies you with the finest of the wheat. He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. Psalm 147:15
What is My Will?
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4.
Beloved, I desire that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. 3 John 1:2-4.
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40.
It is time to pray for laborers for the harvest of souls and to raise up those who will be good shepherds to feed them the truth of My Word.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls. Proverbs 11:30.
You recall that what qualified Peter to feed My sheep was whether he loved Jesus more than all else and he did. That I can work with. For when you love My Son, you love Me, the One who sent Him. In Him you see My Will for you being done. My Will prospered in His hands. Isaiah 53:10. And My Will is His Name: Yeshuah which is the word for “Salvation” in Hebrew.
“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus (Yeshuah), for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20-21.
And He gave His body and blood for you and that brings us to the next request of the “Our Father” prayer of the royal priesthood. But that is so big a subject that we will continue it in our next Life Lesson.
I love you. Come to Me and let us together take down strongholds and establish the Kingdom upon the earth so that all people, tribes, and nations will be saved and come to know the truth. I want to make all lives beautiful, and each person’s life the most beautiful life ever lived. Will you join with Me each day in prayer and not lose heart? I never do, the designs of My heart are for all generations.
The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations. Psalm 33:11.
