Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil a place. Ephesians 4:26-27.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
My Son told His disciples the night He was betrayed that the devil was coming against Him but the devil had no place in Him.
I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here. John 14:30-31.
The devil never found even one chink in the armor of Jesus. Not one word, not one thought, not one action that allowed the devil to enter and cause turmoil. And Jesus explained why: Because He loved and kept My Word. He did exactly as I commanded. And that is your secret for getting out to the devil’s snare and keeping him out of your heart as well.
With Judas it was the contrary, I tell you that Satan had entered him. But to understand how that happened you must look back at the glimpses I give you of his thinking and actions. Satan has no place unless you give it to him and a curse without a cause cannot alight. Judas had adopted the behavior and thoughts of Satan even though he was in close companionship with My Son for three years, heard His teachings, and saw His miracles. Be careful about that. Guard your heart with all diligence for it is the door into your innermost being.
The devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. Do not follow him, even in small matters, never take anything from another without their giving you permission no matter how small it is. Also do not take supplies from your office to do personal business with. Never wish another evil or pray they would die to get away from them. I will deliver you without killing them. Never destroy another’s reputation, position or life by your malicious words or revealing things you uncovered that should be left alone. It is not up to you to gossip and tell the evil others have done unless you are being examined to do so to bring justice or save a business, a child, or a life. Never allow an offense, anger, or irritation at another to stay in you beyond the setting of the sun. These are utterly destructive to you and everyone you spill that poison on. Judas got offended when Jesus reprimanded him for criticizing the woman who anointed Jesus with costly perfume that she owned. And right after that, Judas went to the chief priests and offered to deliver Jesus over them. Do not run and do things while you are still in the heat of offense and wish to take vengeance on the person.
Judas also followed the operations of the devil exactly:
To steal:
But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?” Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it. John 12:4-6.
To kill:
Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me and I will deliver Him to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him. From then on he began looking for a good opportunity to deliver Jesus. Matthew 26:14-16.
To destroy:
Now he who was betraying Him gave them a sign, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him.” Immediately Judas went to Jesus and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and kissed Him. And Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him. Matthew 26:48-50.
Total self-destruction as well:
Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? See to that yourself!” And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. Matthew 27:3-4.
Going down the path with the devil leads to death, not life, so be careful what you are permitting to be the thoughts of your heart.
Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil a place. Ephesians 4:26-27.
If you go to bed angry and fall asleep you have already let the devil in and he will not stay in the entry only, he will go to every room in your inner man during the night and plunder it. You will wake in an undertow of evil and darkness and you will be angrier, more offended and ready to fight—ready to tell your boss about the lazy co-worker and ruin your co-worker, ready to divorce your spouse, ready to read the “riot act” to your children, and totally at the level of a very low flow, not a trickle of the heavenly river of life is getting through your gate, you are wallowing in the mud with the devil and your last state is worse than your first.
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A dog returns to its own vomit,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:20-22.
I try to counsel you even in the night, but you must get in the right flow before you get in bed for the night. Do a happy dance and cast all your care on Me.
Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. Mark 11:25.
When you received Jesus as Lord you were born again from above as a new creation in Christ. You can live in a higher flow than you did before you became a new creation. You now have a higher and more excellent way open to you and it should begin in what comes out of your mouth. Speak in a way that pleases the Holy Spirit who is within you and not in a way that grieves Him. No malice, no slander, no words designed to harm another either about yourself or others. Do not take “digs” at people to get even or just to make them ashamed. Elevate your speech. The way you are speaking to others is heard and received by Me personally. Before a word is on your tongue I know the whole of it. I know your thoughts from afar. I am looking for words of life to enforce them. Say nothing contrary to My Words, which are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh, to yourself, to Me, or to others. Strip off the words of the old you and step up a notch to the level of the new you in Christ—faith words, life-giving words, words of dominion and victory.
Let no unwholesome (sapros: rotten, corrupt, bad, worthless, unfit for consumption) word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:29-32.
You do not want to live lives doing deeds and speaking words that are unfit for the Kingdom. This kind of behavior is NOT in your best interest, in fact, quite to the contrary. It makes your life a wasted life, a withered cut off branch with no fruit, only good as fuel for the fire.
Remember Jesus told you that by your words you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned, that you will be judge for every idle word you speak. In the Greek language in which that passage was written the word “idle” is “argos,” which means unemployed or not working, it is the opposite of “ergon” which means actively working. I tell you that My Word is living and actively working (ergon) framing your life and the world around you to change your circumstances to line up with My Word. When in the darkness I spoke, “Light be!” it want to work and filled your world with the light of life which made the darkness flee. Are you just saying it is dark when you should be putting light to work? Lazy words do nothing but fall to the ground.
Many of you are surrounded with unbelieving people and you are shaping your life in response to them. But now I am asking you to come up higher with Me and to shape your life in response to Me and Me alone. At that level all your words must be employed for the work of the Kingdom in and around you. My Word must shape and form your life. Respond to My Words and not to others’ words, do not let evil enter your tent. Your business is to follow Me.
Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” So Peter seeing him said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!” John 21:20-22.
What is that to you? Your business is to follow Me!
I have removed the abomination from before your eyes, let the reader take note, so stop looking back at it. Selah.
“Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house.” Matthew 24:15-17.
I love you. Put your thoughts and words to work purposefully to obtain a good result. You will be amazed at what you will see. My Word works. It will not return to Me without achieving the purpose for which I sent it.
For the word of God is living and actively working and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
