Keep His Word Before Your Eyes

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  Deuteronomy 11:18-20.

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. John 14:23.

Today the LORD (יהוה) God says:

Come to Me, come to Me, all who are weary and long to be free! Come to Me, come to Me, and I will give you rest.  In Me you will be blessed!

Today I want to talk with you about your home.  It is in Me.  Nowhere else will do.  My Heart is your home.  And your heart is My home.  Let us live and walk together.  Let us agree.

And how do you get there?  It is not a long journey.  You do not need to go up to Heaven to bring it down or to the nether world to bring it up.  It is right where you are.  It is in your mouth and your heart.  I speak of My Word of faith.  If you love Me, you keep My Word and I come to you and make My home with you.  John 14:23.  Forever.

And how do you do this?  I once told the Israelites through My friend Moses.  Keep My Words always before your eyes. Fix them in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your wrists and hands, and bind them on your foreheads.  Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  Deuteronomy 11:18-20.

What you gaze on, what you feed on, you become.  Shape your image by My Words.  Look in the mirror of My Word and see who you are.  Do not look at the commercials on television, the stories in magazines, the newspapers, or the prestige of the world to see who you are and what you desire.

The Israelites coming out of Egypt had seen themselves as slaves, as victims, as inferior for a few hundred years.  I needed to change their self image to set them free.  You may need to get free of a few things too so you can know who you really are.

If you continue in My Word, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

As long as the Israelites viewed themselves as slaves, controlled by taskmasters over them, they could not operate independently or behave responsibly.  They were accustomed to being controlled by others so that they had no self-control.  When the restraint was off, they went wild—orgies, golden calves, fights, selfishness.  I wanted them to know who they really were—a holy nation, a royal priesthood, a people set apart, kings and priests, victors and not victims, and more than conquerors.  That they were the head and not the tail, the lender and not the borrower, above and not beneath– My own special possession that I carried on eagle’s wings. I wanted them to take dominion authority by tapping into My authority to reign in life by My life in them. My Words are spirit and life. In them is eternal life.

I wanted them to see themselves as I saw them.  And how did I see them? One word sums it up, and sums up how I see all of you.  BLESSED.

You may recall My first words to man when I had just formed him from the clay of the earth and breathed My Spirit into him.  I blessed him.  You are blessed from the start. And I bless every life that comes from Me.

You are blessed.  You are not cursed.  And no one and nothing can curse what I have blessed.

And what does it mean to be blessed?  I define it for you in My Word in many places, but I particularly set it out in chapter 28 of the Book of Deuteronomy.  Let us go over now.

Being blessed means that you are empowered to prosper.  My Blessing makes rich and brings no sorrow with it.  It is I who give you the power to make wealth.  Being blessed by Me means that you prosper and are protected wherever you are and wherever you live, whether it be city, country, state or nation.  Your children are healthy and successful.  You are well supplied with abundance for all your needs.  You are safe going in and going out.  If any enemies rise up against you I defeat them and they flee from you in more ways than they came.

Your accounts grow as do your investments.  You are successful at work and people will see and respect you.  You are established as Mine and set apart as holy.  You abound in prosperity in all you have and are.  You are established in your own place.  My Kingdom is open to you and I see to all your needs.  You are the lender and not the borrower.  You live debt free.  You are the victor and not the victim, the supervisor and not the slave.  Deuteronomy 28:1-15.

Sound too good to be true?  This is My Word to you.  But there are conditions to having this Blessing.  So your next question should be: “How do I get this Blessing on my life?”

In Jesus.  Jesus became a curse for you hanging on the cross in order that in Christ Jesus the Blessing of Abraham might come on all, so that you would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  Galatians 3:13-14.

But it is not automatic.  You have a part too.

I tell you through My apostle James that you must be not only a hearer but a doer of My Word to have the blessed life.  It is the one who looks intently at the perfect law of liberty and abides by it, not being a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this one is blessed in what he does.  James 1:25.  If you remain and continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.  The perfect law of liberty.  Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.  And where My Spirit is there is liberty—the freedom that is true freedom indeed.

And I go on to tell you through My apostle James that you are to keep yourself unstained by the world.  James 1:27.  How do you do that?  I tell you in Psalm 119: “How can a young man keep his way pure?  By keeping it according to My Word,”  Psalm 119:9, and “Your Word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against You.”  Psalm 119:11.

It is by making My Word your word and your way of looking at the world and all of things that happen in your life that you keep yourself pure, as Jesus is pure.  It is by being a doer of My Word.  It is by believing in My Word, Jesus, and cherishing His Word in your heart so that you do not say anything about yourself or anyone that is not in keeping with My Word.

The measure with which you measure is measured back to you.

Faith believes and faith speaks.  Love gives, grace supplies, and faith takes.  And how do you take what is yours in Jesus?  By your words.  Your actions follow your words.  And your words come from what fills you heart. So be careful what you are listening to, especially if it is ungodly idle talk, for you will be judged for every idle word you speak. By your words you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned.

When you heed My voice and are careful to walk in My ways, not turning aside to the right or the left from any of My Words to follow other gods, then My blessing will come upon you and overwhelm you.  Deuteronomy 28:2, 9, 14.

To sum up then, My Blessing empowers you to prosper in every area of your life.  You are protected, anointed with skill, self-controlled, well supplied, healthy, and strong.  You operate in the good reaping the harvest of your goodness richly.

Greatness consists in having Me with you wherever you go and receiving My counsel, direction, impartation and correction.

If you instead do not heed My voice and are not careful to think, say and do My Words, if you align with the realm of darkness by walking in bitterness, depression, anxiety, fear, or malicious intent, then the curse (poverty, sickness, disasters, emotional problems, and death) which is still in the earth can alight in your life.  But only if you call it in by your own words.

But if you have been experiencing the curse in your life I have good news for you that I cannot tell you enough, for faith comes by hearing and the more you hear the good news the more you will believe it and see it manifest in your life.  As I told you already, but it bears repeating, My Son Jesus the Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law so that you can receive the Blessing of Abraham and also the Promise of the Spirit.  You are a new creation in Christ when you are born again by taking Jesus as your Lord.  So get a fresh image of yourself as a new creation.  And if you can see it, you can be it.

And how do you see it?  By looking in the mirror of My Word to see yourself as I see you.  And you do this by keeping My Word before your eyes day and night by speaking it and meditating on it.  And you will find in My Word that I love you, your are precious to Me, I have engraved your name in My hand, that you are lovely to Me and your voice sweet, that you have My own righteousness in Christ, that I see you as holy and blameless, that you are healed by the stripes of My ‘Son, and countless other promises that are all yours in Christ Jesus, for all My promises are “yes” to you in Him.

Let My Word be what you think about until it becomes the way you think!

So continue in My Word until you KNOW the truth and the truth will set you free.  Free from the slavery of sin.  Free from the wrong self image.  Free from fear.

You can live without sin.  Sin is not your master.  When you are born of Me, My imperishable seed, My Word, is in you, and sin has no dominion over you.  See yourself dead to sin but alive to Me through My Son Jesus.  If you can see yourself this way, you can be it.  And My Word tells you that you can live without ever sinning again.  Not on your own, but by My power in you (My Spirit) to will and to do all that My Word tells you that you can have.

So see yourself BLESSED.  You are.
