Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and pay your votive offerings to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day of trouble (tightness transitively, adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation, trouble, straits); I shall rescue (deliver, withdraw, pull out, tear out, arm for war, equip for war) you, and you will (glorify) honor Me. Psalm 50:14-15.
He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving (glorifies) honors Me; and to him who sets (puts, places, arranges, transform into) aright his way I shall show (cause to see) the salvation (yesha: deliverance, rescue, salvation, safety, welfare) of God. Psalm 50:23.
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, well-pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and delightful and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.
Today your LORD (יהןה) God says:
Regrets are about YOU, praises are about ME. Offer your bodies no longer for your own interests but to use as Christ’s Body on earth for His interests. You are not here to be depressed by what you have done or not done but to be impressed by what I have done and am doing and will be doing. Yes, spend your days in praise, gratitude, love and excitement about what I am doing in you and for you and through you and in your nation and world for the salvation of all. It will set you free from the spirit of slavery, slavery to your own emotions, that leads to fear. Romans 8:15.
I want to free you from fear, guilt, shame and regrets. Divorce them. Give your lives to Me and live your day for My glory. Looking at Me will bring you joy. Praises will lift your mind from yourself and your failures to focus on Me and the great plans I have for you. Looking at Me will take you from dread and defeat to faith and victory. Regrets and looking too hard at your performance will pull you into the flesh, and the mind set on flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
Let go of yourself and get hold of Me. My servant Paul understood, he asked, “Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?” He wanted to be set free from his being trapped by the emotions and pressures of his flesh, his body, that was making him a prisoner of the law of sin in his members. Romans 7:23-24. And what was the answer to his question? “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” And that is your answer. “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, well-pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what the will of God is, that which is good and delightful and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2. And Paul’s life became a life of joy in the Holy Spirit, for as he stated himself, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20.
Stop living your life alone and considering yourself as evil and subject to evil, being tossed here and there by your thoughts of dread and emotions of failure and shame. People may be threatening you and degrading you but would a dead person care if that were going on? Remember you died with Christ and were raised with Him to new life, seated with Him above, as part of His body to do My work on earth. And My work is amazing. It sets captives free and makes blind eyes to see! It opens deaf ears and makes the lame to leap and dance about.
Stop being so subject to your own emotions and whether or not you are receiving the glory of men. Stop looking at who you are in the world as far as success, importance and prestige goes and look at who you are in Me. What man holds in importance; I hold in contempt. Love of the world and the things of the world is what makes you depressed, for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from Me, but is from the world. 1 John 1:15-17. And the world is passing away, it is being shaken even now and all that is not built on the solid rock of My Word will fall. Therefore, since you are receiving a Kingdom which cannot be shaken, show gratitude by which you may offer to Me an acceptable sacrifice with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:26-28.
If it is just about how you feel about yourself and the things around you, even if you love Me and are all the time begging Me to set you free, then you are enslaving yourself to how you are perceiving things and not how I am and I cannot help you out of the cage you have locked yourself in. You are permitting your emotions to control you, keeping you in depression, fear and regret. That is all about YOU and nothing about Me and all I have done for you, in you and with you in Christ. Stop being trapped by your own emotions and declare yourself dead to them and alive to Me. Spend your day rejoicing in Me, praying without ceasing and giving thanks. Stop making your life all about you and make it about Me. And you know what you will find? I am all about you. Everything I do in this world is for you. Let Me be your all and I will give you everything. Work with Me to do fruitful works of excellence. Jesus never spoke on His own initiative but only said My Words, which are Spirit and life, and only did the works I showed Him, which were mighty for pulling down strongholds, undoing the work of the devil, and setting the oppressed free. Wouldn’t you rather hand your body over to do that instead of staying in the darkness depressed, tormented, fearful, and confused? Time to leave yourself behind and ignore the old man and put on Christ and join your great High Priest in the work of intercession and praise.
Hand your body over to Me and I give it to Christ, and I seal you in Christ by My Spirit, there is no snatching out of My hand, John 10:29, and when you are born again of Me the evil one cannot touch you. 1 John 5:18. It is by My doing that you are in Christ Jesus who became to you wisdom from Me, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption. You can boast in Me. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31. I gave you Jesus who loves you and gave His life for you that you might no longer live for yourself but for Him, so that you can reign in life through Him, so that you can live your life through Him as a member of His Body joining with Him in carrying out My Words and Works of miracles, signs and wonders to do good and set people free from the oppression of the devil. Join Him in His work of intercession and deliverance. Stop just looking at and praying about your needs and relief, hand all that over to Me and have peace.
And as member of His Body, He sanctifies you, cleansing you with the washing of water with the Word, presenting you in all glory with no spot or wrinkle that you would be holy, blameless and beyond reproach. Ephesians 5:26-27. Christ nourishes and cherishes His Body the Church, just as you do your own flesh, because you are members of His Body. Ephesians 5:29-30. Stop living for yourself alone, you are not your own, you have been purchased at a great price, so glorify Me in your body! 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. And you do that by a heart of praise. Be filled with the spirit, speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to Me always giving thanks for all things in the name of your Lord Jesus Christ to Me, your Father. Ephesians 5:19-20.
Cast all your care on Me so I take care of all your needs and desires. Stop worrying or I cannot take over for you. And if you have a need, sow a seed to produce the harvest you want and then wait on Me and watch it grow to fruition in your life. I call it the sacrifice of thanksgiving. You will find it all through the old and new covenants. The sacrifice of Thanksgiving, Leviticus 7:11-18, goes with the peace offering or on its own, it is a sacrifice that has a lamb and unleavened bread. And it must be eaten by the priests the same day it is offered and when it is a votive (free will) offering, the left-overs can still be eaten on the next day, but no later. Leviticus 7:15-18.
If you are in a place of trouble (adversity, terror, dread, distress) then let Me give you a Scripture that will set you free from the fear and equip you for battle and, of course, victory. It is Psalm 50:14-15: “Offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and pay your votive offerings to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day of trouble (tightness transitively, adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation, trouble, straits); I shall rescue (deliver, withdraw, pull out, tear out, arm for war, equip for war) you, and you will (glorify) honor Me.” Psalm 50:14-15. And there is more, “He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving (glorifies) honors Me; and to him who sets (puts, places, arranges, transform into) aright his way I shall show (cause to see) the salvation (yesha: deliverance, rescue, salvation, safety, welfare) of God.” Psalm 50:23. Jesus has released you from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom of priests offering spiritual sacrifice unto Me. The Sacrifice of Thanksgiving with a votive offering to your great High Priest. Then call in your day of trouble and I shall deliver, pull you out of that distress, and equip you for war and you glorify Me. Offering a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Me when you are in distress shows Me your faith, trust, and confidence in Me to make it all work out for your good, even when your own sins and mistakes caused it.
And no matter what let go of all that self-seeking torment you are putting yourself through, and leave those behind and come to follow Me by offering your body to Me, no longer for your own interests but to use as Christ’s Body on earth for His interests. And do you know that His interests are My interests and they are all about your best interests. You really cannot lose when you offer your life to Me. I give you more than you can ever ask or imagine by the power of My Spirit working in you.
I love you. Open wide your heart to Me and push out all the darkness that is in you. Jesus has set you free from the person you used to be. Die and rise with Him as part of His Body and you will have a life of righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. Remember: Regrets are about YOU, and praise is about ME.
