Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Matthew 25:1-4.
And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour. Matthew 25:10-13.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Today I want to show you the meaning of the parable of the ten virgins that My Son taught to you. Matthew 25:1-13. He does not explain it for the disciples as He does the parable of the sower and the seed. It is because it contains a mystery that they did not yet understand any more than they understood when He said He was going to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. Matthew 16:21. It was one of the truths of which Jesus later told them, “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth.” John 16:12-13.
I revealed the mystery hidden in the parable of the ten virgins and the wedding feast to My servant Paul and he delivered it to you, “I became a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the Word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His holy ones, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:25-27.
Christ in you, your hope of glory (walking in Heavenly realms, in the glory cloud, eternal life, My goodness, power and presence unto great works). But he did not say Jesus in you, he said Christ in you. Christ in Greek means the same as the Hebrew word “Messiah,” which means “the anointed.” The anointing. Jesus told you I had anointed Him. Both Christ and Messiah signifies an anointing with oil. I taught Moses about the anointing oil. Exodus 30:22-33. It was to anoint the High Priest and his sons to set them apart and consecrate them as holy so they could enter My presence and minister unto Me as My own special possession. The sacred anointing oil was made of primarily olive oil with sweet smelling spices in it making it the work of a perfumer. Without the anointing, they could not come into My presence in the Holy place.
The golden lampstand, the sacred Menorah that lit the inner court and the way into the Holy of Holies, had seven oil lamps (the word in Hebrew for lamp is “ner” (נֵ֣ר)). The lamps were lit with olive oil. I told Moses, “You shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.” Exodus 27:20. And the Menorah, the golden lampstand, is a shadow whose substance is Jesus, the true Light of the world. And no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the light of life. John 8:12. And in Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:4. And as many as receive Him, to them He gives the right to become My children, known by Me, to those who believe in His Name. John 1:12. Are you beginning to see where I am taking you about the parable of the ten virgins? Keep going, there is much more.
In Proverbs, Solomon, to whom I had given wisdom into mysteries, revealed to you that “The spirit (breath) of man is the lamp (נֵ֣ר) of the LORD, searching all the innermost chambers of his being.” Proverbs 20:27. David sang, “For You light my lamp. The LORD my God illumines my darkness.” Psalm 18:28. The breath of man, I breathed My breath into your nostrils, the breath of life, the Spirit that quickens your mortal body, Romans 8:11, when I first formed man and he became a living soul (nephesh), Genesis 2:7, but he let an evil spirit who put out that lamp and that smoldering wick sputtered in darkness, condemned to the dust of death. A lamp with no oil for when the Bridegroom came. And you became evil doers, lawlessness entered and your spirit became a stony heart, dark, dormant and cold and every intent of the thoughts of your heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5.
But Jesus changes all that, after I raised Him from the dead and He had released you from the prison of your sins and lawlessness, He breathed into the believers gathered to Him in the upper room and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” And He lit their darkened lamps that had no oil. A new supply of oil that will never run dry. And He would make sure that the oil never failed, when He returned to My throne, He received the promised Spirit from Me and poured it over those who believe in His Name! Acts 2:33. The anointing! The priestly anointing that runs down from the head of your great High Priest, the Head of the Body, and pours down onto and into you, His body on earth whom He loves and has released from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom of priests unto Me, your God and Father. Revelation 1:5-6. And your dark lamp that had no oil is lit and well supplied for every good work and word. You can now read Isaiah with Him as He did that day in the synagogue of Nazareth, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me.” Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:18.
And how do you get the supply of oil that never runs out and will be burning ready when your Bridegroom returns for you, the Church, His bride? You receive Jesus as Lord and are born again of water and the Spirit. And the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory is now manifested in you. The five virgins who brought oil with their lamps represent the born again, the Church, the bride of Christ. I call them “prudent” or “wise,” the word I use in Greek is “phronimos,” which means practically wise, sensible, intelligent. The five virgins who had no oil with their lamps represent those who refuse to come to Jesus to have new life, to have the light of life, to be born again with a living spirit, I call them “foolish,” the fool says in his heart there is no God. The word I use in Greek is “móros,” which means dull, stupid, foolish. It signifies a hardened heart that rebels against the truth.
Jesus is the only way to Me. He told you very clearly My Words on this, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6. He is the only door into the Holy of Holies, John 10:7-10, if you try to come in another way you are a thief and a robber. John 10:1. Do you understand now why the response to the five virgins with no oil in their lamps that try to come in the door is “Truly I say to you, I do not know you.” Matthew 25:12. There is only one way you can enter that door into the wedding feast of the Kingdom that I am giving in honor of My Son, Jesus told you quite clearly, “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9. I know those who are Mine and the only way to Me is Jesus Christ. It is only in Him your spirit can be born from above and anointed with the life-giving Holy Spirit. He will light up your lamp. Isaiah wrote of this, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden (the heavy burden of being taken captive by the devil to do his will) shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah 10:27.
Jesus calls you to new life in Him so that He can light your lamp, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, you may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him. 1 John 2:27-29.
Jesus is your teacher. He is My Word. I told Abraham, “walk before Me and be blameless.” Genesis 17:1. And Isaiah foretold, “Your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” Isaiah 30:20-21. Abraham saw the day of Jesus and he rejoiced. John 8:56. I am the LORD who girds you with strength and makes your way blameless. Psalm 18:32. I have given you Jesus to live your life through, in and with Him, and you can do all things in Him who strengthens you. Greater works.
Jesus is the only way to Me, I only know those who come that are born again in Him, they are properly dressed for the wedding feast with their lamps burning ready. Unless you come by way of Jesus, you will hear, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” Matthew 7:23.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does My Will. And what is My Will? Jesus told you, “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40. Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. And My commandments are not burdensome, they are that you believe in the Name of My Son, Jesus Christ, and you love one another as He gave you command. 1 John 3:23.
Just as I have life in Myself, so I have given My Son life in Himself to raise you up on the last day. If you are worried because of evil things you are doing or have done, such as gossiping, judging, grumbling, finding fault, lying, and a host of other evils that you are in danger of hearing, “I never knew you, out of My sight you evil doer,” I have given you the answer that can put your heart at rest. Come to Jesus and believe in Him as Son of God and that He took all your sins on Himself and the punishment due them and that in Him I lit your lamp. Behold the Lamb of God, you had all gone astray like lost sheep, but I laid upon Him the guilt of you all. And whoever believes that will never perish but have eternal life. And My anointing will teach you to live godly righteous lives. The anointing teaches you all things and guides you to all truth. He is a person, the Holy Spirit in you and on you. And He will quickly reveal to you when you have done evil. And He will not let you alone until you walk in newness of life. You know what I am saying. When you got born again, things changed in you.
Man after eating from the tree of good and evil had only evil in his heart. He needed a new heart for Me to light. And I gave that to you in Jesus. The whole world went under the evil one in Adam, but I so loved the world that I gave you My only begotten Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. The Light of Life.
The anointing is My olive branch to you. Do you remember? Noah sent out a dove from him, to see if the water was abated from the face of the land; but the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, so she returned to him into the ark, for the water was on the surface of all the earth. Then he put out his hand and took her and brought her into the ark to himself. So he waited yet another seven days; and again he sent out the dove from the ark. The dove came to him toward evening, and behold, in her mouth was a freshly picked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth.
There was a reason I made the olive tree the first tree that sprouted on earth after the flood. The anointing, symbolized in the olive oil that lit the oil lamps of the Menorah and the anointing oil of the High Priest and his sons, would light your lamps again to return to your Father’s house for the great feast I am giving to honor your return. Like the prodigal son, he was dead and came back to life again. He was lost and was found.
I love you. Sing with David, “For You light my lamp, You illumine the darkness around Me.” Bring your dark lamp to Jesus and let Him light you up with the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit. He is the Light of the world, but He told His disciples, that is, all you who follow Him, that you can be on the Menorah with Him, there are six lamps as branches coming from the lamp on the center shaft (six is the number of man, being created on the sixth day, and seven is the number of My Son, the Prince of Peace, Shabbat, in Him you are complete), “You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16. If you are in Jesus, you never need worry you will not find entrance when you come to Me for you are properly dressed for the wedding feast (clothed in Christ) and your lamps are lit and burning ready. Born again with Christ in you, your hope of glory. Do you see why I desire that all people be saved and come to know the truth?
