You, O LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is Your name. Isaiah 63:16.

As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the dust. Even after my skin is destroyed, yet from my flesh I shall see God, whom I myself shall behold, and whom my eyes will see and not another. My heart faints within me! Job 19:25-27.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהם) says:

I am the LORD your Redeemer. Redemption is more than deliverance or rescue, though it has elements of those in it. Redemption is a legal process that is permanent. Once the debt is paid, it is no more and that bondage is gone. It is once for all. What you are redeemed from can no longer hold you captive.

Deliverance and rescue are a military process. Deliverance and rescue must be repeated every time you are hedged in or trapped. Unless an enemy is totally irradicated, he will come back for another attempt to take you down. That is why to My angels I have given a command to guard you in all of your ways, you who are born again. For you I deploy the Heavenly Host.

And so we continue My instructions on knowing Me by knowing My Name with Life Lesson No. 25: “The LORD (יהוה) my Redeemer (גֹאֲלִֽי), YHWH Goali.”

I talk a lot about redemption in My Word. It is a beautiful aspect of My favor and grace in your lives. In Christ, I have shielded you and redeemed you from the wrath to come. Jesus has taken every debt you owed to divine justice and nailed it to the cross as paid and satisfied in full. I have given you a redeemer and worked your redemption in Him. I gave you a kinsman redeemer.

Redemption is permanent—the price has been paid in full. In Jesus you have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of your trespasses, according to the riches of My grace which I lavished on you in Jesus. Ephesians 1:7-8. For when Christ appeared as the high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:11-12. By this you have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. Hebrews 10:14-18. I took care of it in Christ.

But from what are you redeemed? The curse of the law, which is sickness, poverty and eternal death. And how are you redeemed? By the blood of Jesus. Christ your Passover has been sacrificed and you are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Is it automatic? No, you must apply it, like the Israelites with the first Passover had to paint the entrance to their dwellings with the blood of the lamb and then stay inside under that covering to be safe from the destroyer. Legally, he could not touch them when he saw the blood. They had been redeemed. And this was but a shadow of the substance to come, that is, Jesus. You overcome the curse of the law coming into your life by the blood of the Lamb and the Word, of your testimony, in other words, the enforcement of your rights as New Covenant, redeemed.

But to really understand the importance of My Name as the LORD your redeemer, you must understand why you needed redemption and why you need to be very conscious of it today so you can cleanse your conscience of dead works that are gone, paid for in full and remembered no more.

When I created man, I created you eternal, that is, I promised you eternal life before the world began. There was no death when I created you. In fact, there was no corruption or death in My creation. You do not know the world like that and are used to corruption and death, but it was not always that way, and when I remove the curse and make new heavens and a new earth when all is fulfilled, there will be no more death, crying, mourning or pain. All will be new again, only better than before for My heavenly city will join with earth. When I restore it is better than before.

But when Adam disobeyed My Word, sin entered the world through him, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12. The wages of sin is death, and that is why when I forbade Adam to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that eating it would bring death as a result. Which it did. He chose death over life. But once he did that he murdered within himself the eternal life, the indestructible life, I had endowed him with. And to satisfy justice, it is a life for a life. So in order to satisfy justice he had to give an eternal life for the eternal life he lost, but neither he nor any of his descendants any longer had that eternal life to give, for once Adam had corrupted the imperishable seed from which he was made, his corruptible seed was what his descendants were all born of.

That is why I call the devil a murderer from the beginning and he father of lies. Obeying the devil, Adam’s spirit became dead to Me and alive to sin. His new father became the devil. He became a slave to sin and death. He needed redemption but he had no ability to pay for the eternal life he lost. He was not indebted to the devil. He was indebted to Me. He had not rebelled against the devil but against Me. You owed the devil nothing, but to Me you owed your life. And the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar, to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood which makes atonement for sin. ‎Leviticus 17:11.

At that point your relationship with Me and your being restored to eternal life looked impossible for there was no one who could redeem you by paying the debt owed to justice. The only way it could be paid was for there to be a second Adam formed from the incorruptible seed of My Word that had an eternal, indestructible life to give who was willing to offer that life to redeem you. And My Son agreed to become flesh and be your kinsman redeemer to pay your debt in full, to give the eternal, indestructible life he had in the flesh as Adam once did by receiving into His own body not just Adam’s sin but every sin committed since then by his descendants, for all sin is lawlessness and punishable by death. And once My Son took on your sins, his eternal life became susceptible to death, in fact, it had to die for the wages of sin is death. And He offered Himself, gave His eternal life for the life you destroyed, thus satisfying a life for a life, and He had to pour out His blood for the life is in the blood and it is what makes atonement. For your blood speaks—Abel’s cried for vengeance, but the blood of Jesus speaks better things, for it cries for mercy and it is eternal. Hebrews 12:24.

Jesus came and everything changed. The night Jesus was born in Bethlehem, My angelic host could not refrain from heralding the glad tidings of peace between God and man in the person of Jesus, the Savior, Messiah, and Lord. And I gave Him My Name of Redeemer, He became your Redeemer. And in seeing Him, you see Me. I was in Christ, reconciling you to Myself by redeeming you from sin. And to do My Will was His delight. Yes, even though it was so hideous what sin had done to you and the punishment that was justly due it was commensurate, He was not only willing to take that upon Himself to save and spare you from the wrath, but for the joy that lay before Him of saving all who would take advantage of so great a salvation, that He went willingly, like a lamb led to the slaughter, like a sheep before the shearers, He opened not His mouth, despising the shame for the joy that lay before Him of giving you eternal redemption.

And what does this mean to you that you are redeemed? It means that you can come with confidence before Me, with full assurance that there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, and that you can be free of the fear of punishment and free of the fear of death for all is perfect between us. You can know you are loved perfectly with no reservations. You can know there is no division between us. Your sins and offenses are not just forgiven, they are gone, borne in the body of My Son. He took your fault and now it is not your fault. He took it and took care of it. He took the punishment you deserved. He paid what you could never pay. He emptied Himself to make you rich. You can walk guilt-free and sin free. You can be the new creation in Christ I made you to be from before the foundation of the world. You can know that you have healing, provision, prosperity, health, deliverance, rescue, goodness, and love. I am the lifter of your head and your shield and great reward.

When you graciously pay another’s debt, they go off happy and free, able to walk in the freedom of those who have no debt. But there is another kind of redemption to. That redemption is when you have sold or had something taken from you that you then buy back, that you redeem. I called that the right of redemption of your property when another took it or held it away from you, you bought it back and it was again yours. You once were Mine but Adam sold himself and all his descendants into the slavery of sin and death, eternal death. But Jesus redeemed you back to Me. In Jesus, you again are Mine, to all who receive His gift of redemption He gives the power to be My children. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13. And I also give you to Him to raise up on the Last Day, for after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, I sealed you in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of your inheritance, with a view to the redemption of My own possession, to the praise of My glory. Ephesians 1:13-14; John 6:39-40.

I am your Creator, I am the one who formed you, I am your maker! Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! Isaiah 43:1. I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. Isaiah 44:22.

Your Redeemer lives and ever makes intercession for you. He has hung upon the Cross for you to redeem you from the curse of the law and give you the promise of the Spirit by faith. You are redeemed, and not by silver, which was the redemption offering under the Law, but by the priceless Blood of My Son. It is now illegal for the curse to come upon you. You are no longer a citizen of the realm of darkness and the curse, you are fellow citizens with the saints in light of the kingdom of My beloved Son. Stand your ground, for it is redemption ground, and draw the line of blood around your dwelling, that is, your body, and do not permit the evil one to cross that blood line with the least vestige of the curse. You do not have to receive it or let it even alight on you.

Remember how My apostle Paul, who by My providence was a citizen of Rome by birth, spoke out his citizenship rights before the Roman soldiers when they began to tie him up to whip him to examine him without a trial or first being proved guilty. And when he declared his citizen rights they had to back off for it was illegal to so treat a Roman citizen without trial. Well, let the redeemed say so, declare it when Satan tries to alight the curse of illness, poverty, sin, anxiety, fear, regret, depression, mourning, and death on you. Stand your ground, for you are on redemption ground for you have been redeemed and anywhere you take your stand becomes redemption land. How? By the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony. What is the testimony? “Away from me Satan for I have been redeemed!”

So what does redemption mean? It means you can walk before Me in the land of the living, holy, blameless and free, for your LORD God, your Redeemer, has done great things for you and HOLY is My Name.

And how do you obtain redemption? On your own you cannot, it is impossible for a descendant of
Adam to redeem himself, but Jesus has redeemed you and you have only to receive it. It is by My doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to you wisdom from Me, and righteousness and sanctification, and REDEMPTION, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31. Redemption is there for you in Jesus, you have only to receive Him.

I love you and that is why I redeemed you back to Me. Will you return? I have opened a new and living way. He is the way, the truth and the life.
