Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Good habits are precious adornment for the soul.

You can either let circumstances that come against you shake you or you can shake them off. After I delivered My apostle Paul and all on board the ship with him out of the storm and the shipwreck to the beautiful island of Malta, a poisonous snake came out of the brush as Paul gathered sticks for the fire and bit him, firmly embedding itself into his arm. Paul could have panicked, cowered in fear, blamed and questioned Me for not stopping it, and a host of negative reactions. The natives were thinking Paul must be a true murderer if even though he had survived the storm and shipwreck, justice did not let him live. But that did not bother the apostle Paul one bit, he had no fear. He knew Me and he knew that I had told him that he had to go witness in Rome and to Rome he would go. He knew the devil’s tactics well and did not even give him any attention. He just shook off the snake and continued building the fire. The natives changed their minds and thought he must be a god. And what the devil meant for harm, from the storm, to the shipwreck, to the snake, to stop Paul’s inroads into his kingdom, ended in miracles, signs and wonders that I worked at the hands of Paul on that island that saved all the natives, starting with their leader, and the crew and rest of the prisoners as well.

The benefits of My Kingdom had manifested in Malta by one man who loved Me and knew My goodness. He was not moved by the devil’s tactics. My grace was sufficient for him to be delivered out of them all. He was eating from the right table and that is where he kept his attention. Nothing the devil could do ever pulled Paul away from the table I set before him in the sight of his enemies. He had built his life on the rock of My Word and no storm could shake his inward peace.

When Jesus summoned His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Matthew 10:1. You will note that sickness is the result of unclean spirits and you are to cast them  out. And when He sent them out, what did He tell them? “And as you go, proclaim, ‘The Kingdom of heaven has come near.’” Matthew 10:7.  And what were the signs of the nearness of My Kingdom? He told them, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8.

To live a life of continual peace and rest you must take authority over your mind. To live a life enjoying and partaking of the banquet I set before you, you must have a firm purpose to keep your mind stayed on Me. Like Paul in the storm, the shipwreck, and the incident with the snake. He never even for one moment took his eyes off Me. I had his attention and thus Paul had Mine. I even sent My angel in the middle of the storm to assure Paul of deliverance, and that because of him, I granted it to all on the ship with him.

You can either let things that come against you shake you or you can shake them off. You can either let the devil shake you off course or  you can shake him. And how do you overcome him? By the Blood and by My Word.

The same was true of My beloved John in his exile on Patmos. He did not get shaken that such a thing happened to him when he served Me faithfully, no, he used it as an  opportunity to put all his attention on Me and I took him up to My Kingdom, My very throne room and showed him all the events of the end times in order to take the Bible from the creation of the world to the recreation of the heavens and the earth for all eternity.

How do you become unshakeable? Come to the banquet! I set a table before you in the sight of your foes. And it is the table of My Word. First, know this, My Word feeds every part of you. And how do you know that? I promise that to you.

My Word is life to you, Deuteronomy 32:47, heals all your body, Proverbs 4:22, saves your soul, James 1:21, and brings your spirit to new birth so it is alive to Me and dead to sin. 1 Peter 1:23. New birth, saved mind, will and emotions, and a healed, healthy body. My Word reaches every part of you—spirit, soul, and body, and every part of each of those. I have saved you completely.

Many people say that My blessings are only spiritual and not for your physical wellbeing, such as your finances and all the affairs of your body and soul, but they are wrong. What starts in your spirit works out to your soul and then to your entire body.

The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the innermost parts of his being. Proverbs 20:27.

Once I have lit the lamp of your spirit by the anointing of your new birth with My Spirit, then My Spirit in your spirit goes throughout your body healing all the parts and giving new life, quickens, your mortal body. Romans 8:11. And how does He do that? By guiding you to all truth, and that is My Word, for My Word is truth and My Word sanctifies you. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions.

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.

My Spirit puts My Word to work in you.

And I send it by putting it in your mouth so you can return it to Me to accomplish the purpose for which it was sent.

I want you to know and understand this so you cannot be shaken in any area of your life. I am watching over every part of you, spirit, soul, and body, and I will bring you complete through this life and then give you a glorious immortal body forever. There is no part of you now or forever that I am not taking care of. And I tell you that quite clearly, “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely and entirely; preserving your spirit and soul and body without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.

Let us look closer at what I am telling you here.

The word translated “sanctify,” is from the Greek word “hagiazo (ἁγιάζω),” which means that I make you holy, treat you as holy, set you apart as holy, sanctify you and purify you. And I do that by My Word. Jesus prayed this for you the night He was betrayed, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your Word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. John 17:16-19.

And I answered, I not only set the table of My Word out for you, I gave you the Spirit who breathed My Word, “Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17.

And it is by My doing that you are in Christ Jesus, whom I have made wisdom to you, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30. And even He told you that you must eat His flesh and drink His blood to have His life in you. And that is your covenant meal. All part of the banquet I set before you.

The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145:15-16.

Now let us return to the scripture passage that we are focusing on: “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely and entirely,” the word translated “completely” is the Greek word “holotelés (ὁλοτελής),”which is derived from hólos, which means “whole,” and telos, which means the “end-purpose”, describing someone reaching the end-goal of “entire sanctification.” The word translated “entirely” is “holokléros (ὁλόκληρος),” which means complete in every part, sound, perfect, entire. It is a process of maturing until perfect, functioning at total effectiveness.

The next part of the passage is: preserving your spirit and soul and body without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The word translated “preserving” is “téreó (τηρέω),” which means that I keep, guard, and watch over you. I keep you blameless before Me. By the blood of Jesus and by My Word. If you walk in the Light with Me, and it is My Word that gives light to your path and a lamp to your feet, we have fellowship, and the Blood of Jesus continually cleanses you from all sin. 1 John 1:7. Stay in the Light of My Word, which is the Light of life.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27.

And through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach. Colossians 1:20-22.

I am constantly watching over you, sending My angels to preserve and protect you, and continually cleansing you, healing you, renewing your youth, and making you complete and entire in spirit, soul, and body with My Word and the blood of My Son. Jesus came not only in the water of the Word but also in the blood, both of which He pours out on you. 1 John 5:6. And He also pours out the Holy Spirit upon you. Acts 2:33.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that at the banquet I set before you that every part of you is fed and I keep you entire, complete, whole, and functioning effectively and fruitfully in your spirit, your soul, and your body, even in old age (Moses spent his days and nights at the banquet of My Word and at 120 years old his vigor was unabated and his eyes undimmed) to the coming of Jesus your Lord. Blessed is the servant the master finds busy about His affairs when He returns.

I love you. I keep you but you must keep yourself at the table where I can feed you. And the only way you will do that is if you keep your mind stayed on Me. And one of the best ways of knowing Me and what you have in Me is to know My Covenant Names and what each Name gives you as food for your spirit, soul, and body at the banquet. But we will talk about that more in the next life lesson.
