“Let your heart hold fast My Words; keep My commandments and live. Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the Words of My mouth. Proverbs 4:4-5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Continue to eat in the face of (what looks like) defeat. In other words, hold fast to your confession of (homologia – speaking in agreement with) My Word, do not back down.

If the doctor, family, well-meaning friends, or others give you a bad report, know you have for yourself a good report, a better possession and a lasting one. Hebrews 10:34. My Word speaks of shalom for My people. And My plans for you are shalom (well-being and wholeness in every area of your life—spiritual, emotional, mental, financial, relational, and physical.

When Goliath came out to challenge the army of Israel, everyone ran in fear believing defeat if they fought. But when David showed up, he looked to Me and saw victory, a good report, and he went with that. And you know what happened. Just as he SAID it turned out. He told Me and Goliath exactly the outcome and those words of the faith put the result in motion.

What you say, not what others say, matters most in the result you get. When you give Me words of faith, I can go to work to perform My Words in your life. Jesus is the High Priest of your confession (homologia) and when you speak in agreement with My Words, He will do it. When you speak in faith in agreement with My Words, then Jesus can go with you to see it through.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Hebrews 4:14.

When Jairus, the leader of the synagogue in Capernaum where Jesus lived, taught, and did amazing healings, had a daughter so ill she was at the point of death. He knew where to go. He went to Jesus, bowed down in honor, and then spoke the result that was in accordance with what Jesus had taught and what Jairus had seen Jesus do, “My little daughter is at the point of death; come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will be saved and live.” Mark 5:23. 24

Those words of faith set Jesus into motion and He went off with him; and a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Jesus, but only one woman pressed in with faith, and she had a confession that she refused to let go of no matter how many obstacles were in her way, but today let us go on with Jairus.

On the way there a bad report came from those who had been waiting at his house with the sick child, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?” Mark 5:35.

Jairus had a choice. He could retract his faith declaration, accept defeat, and tell Jesus to go back and forget going to his home. Or he could stick with his confession of faith. Jesus helped him out here. I am present as your helper. I put My Words in your mouth to plant and establish things on earth. It matters what you are eating (hearing) and digesting. Whose report would he listen to?

Jesus heard the report of her death but he paid no attention to it. He knew My Will. So He encouraged Jairus and told him the wise choice if he wanted his daughter saved. Her salvation was now in the hand of the tongue of Jairus. Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Jesus said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid, only continue believing.” Mark 5:36. And the word I use there for “believing” is “pisteuo,” which is from the word “pistus,” which means “faith,” and “peitho,” which means “persuade.” Fully persuaded faith. Like Abraham, without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to My promise, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, and that gave Me glory. He knew My Word of truth could change the facts. Abraham knew Me by that time and he was fully persuaded that what I had promised, I was able also to perform. And I credited it to him as righteousness. Romans 4:19-22.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23.

But, you may say, the girl was already dead. It is never too late with Me. All are alive to Me.

“He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all are alive.” Luke 20:38.

I control the passageways of life and death.

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Revelation 1:17-18.

The fact was Jairus’ daughter was at the point of death when he set out and she died before he got Jesus to his house, but the truth was what he had spoken with faith, Jesus would lay hands on her and she would be saved and live. Your words matter. You, and others, will eat your words, so make them match Mine and give yourself and others a good meal, the meal of champions, of heroes, of overcomers.

Nothing is too wonderful for Me and nothing is impossible for Me if you will let Me into your life and give Me authority to act by the faith in your heart and the words of your mouth. Faith words get faith results. The prayer of faith is effective indeed. Alive or dead makes no difference to Me. Just like with Lazarus. Jesus came four days after Lazarus was buried. But it did not matter. He spoke the outcome when He first heard the report that Lazarus was sick. He told His disciples that this sickness would not result in death but would give Me glory. How? He would undo the work of the devil, which is the purpose for which I sent Him. 1 John 3:8. And death is the devil’s work. It is the result of sin entering the world through Adam.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12.

But Jesus reverses all that.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15.

The fact in your life may be that sickness has attacked you and you are weak, but the truth is you are healed and strong. And the truth can change the facts.

Let the weak say, “I am strong, I am a mighty hero.” Joel 3:10.

It is not showing doubt to speak a fact, but then answer that fact with the truth and change it. Never speak doubt, fear, and unbelief. That will cancel your confession.

Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2.

How did you get saved? You believed in your heart, and that put you right with Me, and then  you spoke with your mouth and that brings salvation into manifestation.

“Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to come into existence, it will be done for him.” Mark 11:22-23.

Have faith in My Word in your heart, and that comes by hearing, and then speak it out at whatever is blocking your way, and stick to it, and you will have the promise in My Word. But you have to say it and not change your confession. If you keep changing your report from good to bad and then bad to good, you are double minded and cannot to expect to receive anything.

You call in things. You call those things that be not as though they be and they come to pass. Like Abraham and Sarah when they got fully persuaded that I was able and would perform what I promised. Then they stopped considering the facts and spoke the truth into being. Isaac. And we all laughed together at the facts and rejoiced in the truth.

He who enthroned in the heavens laughs. Psalm 2:4.

If you speak doubt and unbelief, I have no authority to work in your life. My power is there but it just cannot find a connection to flow through into you. Hardened hearts, fearful hearts, bitter hearts, critical hearts, cannot connect. No cowards have made it into Heaven. Only overcomers sit with Me on My throne. Revelation 3:21.

“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8.

And Jairus kept his confession intact, with one change that I tell you in the Gospel of Matthew. He now said: “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.” Matthew 9:18.

And what happened when Jesus and Jairus came to the home of Jairus? They found a crowd of doubters.

He saw a commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing. And entering in, He said to them, “Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep.” They began laughing at Him. But putting them all out, He took along the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and entered the room where the child was. Taking the child by the hand, He said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. Mark 5:38-42.

It happened just as Jairus had said with faith that he would not draw back, no matter what the facts, truth prevailed. I am the LORD your healer.

I love you. Come to the banquet I set before you in the sight of your enemies and as you scoop up the honey of My Word just laugh at their ugly words of sickness, pain, destruction, lack, death, and defeat. Just answer with the truth and spread the honey on a big hot slice of the children’s bread. And add some fine olive oil of the anointing and finish with the cup of salvation.
