For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. 2 Chronicles 9:16.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
You cannot be generous in the flesh realm only in the spirit realm. For the flesh looks to hoard and provide for itself, the flesh enthrones self above all others and all else. It’s confidence is in amassing things and holding on to them to make sure of being comfortable and having prestige.
On the other hand, those who walk in the Spirit, seeing with their spirit, enthrone Me above self and all others and all else knowing that I am their never ending source of provision, comfort, and care. When you seek Me above all else, then all else is added. Once you know this you can let go and let things flow out because the more you flow out the more room you have for things to flow in, grace upon grace, faith unto faith, glory to glory. Replacing the old with new and better promises. When I restore in is better than it was before, better in quality and quantity.
And it all comes to seeking Me with all your heart, no hindrances, no earthly show, no pride, just a heart wide open in faith, hope, and love. And that is the story of Zaccheus.
Did you ever wonder why of all that crowd following Jesus up the road Jesus had to go to the house of Zaccheus and no one else’s home? In all that crowd he was the only one truly seeking to see Jesus, remaining hidden above the crowd and asking nothing in return but to behold Him. I know your hearts and whose heart is toward Me.
For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. 2 Chronicles 9:16.
There are those who seek only for self and not for Me, they do not want a relationship but only the things they have heard I give, such as healing and provision.
This people draw near with their words and honor Me with their lip service, but they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote. Isaiah 29:13; Mark 7:6-7.
Or they could be like Herod who sought to see Jesus but just out of human curiosity. He wanted to command Him to perform miracles before Him and when He would not jump to Herod’s command but remained silent, Herod mocked Him.
But then there are those who seek Me for the relationship. And when they enter that relationship, they find all flows that their hearts desire, even unto being seated with Jesus on His throne and He is seated with Me on My throne. I reveal Jesus to you who seek Me with all your heart, like Cornelius, and then in Him I entrust My Spirit to you, you who seek Me with all your heart. Jesus knocks at the door of your heart, if you open your heart and home to salvation, I will come in through, in and with Him, and He will pull you in to My throne of grace where you will receive mercy and find grace just when you need it. You will find all you have been seeking without the painful toil and hoarding of the world at My throne alone.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes (the flesh), I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:20-21.
So now let us consider Zaccheus, for I have given his story to you for your edification, and the story of your life should be edifying your generation and the generations to come as well.
Jesus, on His way to Jerusalem, entered Jericho and was passing through. A crowd was following Him seeking various things, Jesus stopped at the cry of a blind beggar named Bartimaeus and the crowd witnessed Jesus heal the man of blindness, granting his prayer of faith by commanding him to receive his sight, and Bartimaeus followed Jesus up the road. Luke 18:35-43. Jesus responds to faith for connects with My power, which is the Spirit. As Jesus continued on a man called by the name of Zaccheus, who was a chief tax collector and he was rich, was seeking to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. Luke 19:1-3. In other words, he was humble in his opinion of himself, knowing he was a sinner but unable to stop for his flesh was leading him to amass wealth for himself even onto cheating others by lying as to what they owed to increase his own wealth and security. So he ran on ahead of the crowd and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for Jesus was about to pass through that way. Luke 19: 4.
When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” Jesus told Zaccheus to hurry down to go to his home with Jesus and Jesus told Zaccheus that Jesus had to stay at his house that day. Luke 19:5. Jesus only did the works I showed Him and nothing on His own initiative.
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. John 14:10-11.
Our wills are one in purpose and love for we are one. In seeing Jesus you see Me, My Word in action among you as one like you in all things but sin, and yet He took all your sins on Himself.
Jesus stopped His journey to Jerusalem to be at the Passover to generously invest His time to save one sinner and restore him to grace. Why? Because I so showed Him to do because My eyes move to and fro across the earth seeking those who are seeking Me with all their hearts to show them My Salvation. Like Cornelius. He sought Me with all his heart and I sent an angel to direct him to Peter and I directed Peter to go to the house of Cornelius, just as I directed Jesus to go to the house of Zaccheus, and spend time with him to show Him Jesus, My Salvation, and then when they opened their hearts to Him, He entered in their hearts to give them the Holy Spirit.
And out of all the crowd with Jesus that day he was walking through Jericho, My eyes had stopped on the heart of Zaccheus.
You should see here the way you attract My attention, seek Me with all your heart and you will find Me right there with you. Jeremiah 29:13-14. When you draw close to Me with your heart, I draw close to you and fill your heart with love and light.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.
You see the heart of Zaccheus here, he had not been planning on spending the day with Jesus, he was a busy man with the things of the world, having amassed wealth, but in the light of Jesus face looking at him and singling him out, he did not need to think twice, his obedience was immediate but not in fear but with great joy. He hurried and came down and received Him joyfully. Luke 19:6. And Jesus went with joy as well. I sent Him to seek out and save the lost and to do My Will was His delight, for My law of love was in His heart for that is who He is. My Word, which is the perfect law of love, which is freedom.
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:37-40.
When the crowd saw that Jesus chose to go to the home of Zaccheus, instead of rejoicing in Zaccheus coming to Jesus, and thus to My Word, returning and turning from his sinful lifestyle of the flesh to walking in the spirit, they all, out of jealousy and pride, thinking they were more righteous in their actions than Zaccheus and therefore should have been preferred by Jesus, began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” Luke 19:7. But they were wrong, they should have said “who WAS a sinner.” For an encounter with Jesus can turn you around from a sinner to a saint just by faith in Him and My Word.
Hearing the people calling him a sinner, Zaccheus stopped showed Jesus his repentant heart, for an encounter with Jesus brings repentance, that is, a complete change of mind from thinking in the flesh to thinking in the Spirit, and knowing Me will made you a generous giver for you have discovered your true source, and said to the Lord, notice now He was no longer called “Jesus” by Zaccheus, but “Lord”, “Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much.” Luke 19:8. A new and open heart of integrity and peace. A humble and repentant heart I will not spurn. I resist the proud but give grace to the humble.
And what was Jesus’ reply as He summed up what had taken place that day? Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Zaccheus thought he was seeking Jesus but the truth was that Jesus was seeking him. It is My desire that all men be saved and come to know the truth. Jesus seeks to bring all to repentance, fellowship, salvation, and to see and share His glory with Him at My right hand, seated in Him with Me in Heaven forever.
Zaccheus could be generous once He met Jesus. His reception of Jesus into his heart and home gave him a new way of seeing things. He realized that he did not need to take money by cheating others to have wealth, he realized he did not need to hoard money for himself alone. He realized if he had Jesus, everything was his. All is added to those who seek Me, to those who seek My Kingdom and My righteousness first. There is no need to hoard if you have Me for you own all things. You are with Me and everything I have is yours. I will never leave you or forsake you, I will always be sure, as you give to Me, that it is given back to you in every increasing measure so that you have all sufficiency for yourself and an ever flowing abundance for every good work. The more you sow the more you grow, the more you give the more flows in. I love a cheerful giver and a thankful receiver.
I love you. I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in Heaven when you are in Jesus. Every blessing, every good thing begins in your spirit, for that is where you receive by faith, and then you work it out to manifest from the heavenly realm into the earth realm by speaking it, doing it, and walking in it. Make your heart My home by loving and keeping My Words with a generous heart.
But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the Word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. Luke 8:15.
