And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets, who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Hebrews 11:32-34.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Love gives you authority to be amazing.
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the LORD your God. Isaiah 43:1-3.
Why do I do all that for you who are Mine?
“Because you are precious in My sight, you are honored and I love you. I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you.” Isaiah 43:4-5.
I planned you with love, I made you with love, I saved you with love, and I will continue to save you with love. But there is more. I share My authority with you are Mine by faith, you whom I can trust.
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20.
It makes you stand out in the crowd. My eye is on all with provision and love but the one who loves Me in faith, I pour out treasures of favor and grace from above. I am the God of the breakthrough. And that is what David called Me. Noah stood out in the evil crowd and hence he did not go the way of the wicked. I offered him another path. And he took it diligently.
Then the LORD said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time. Genesis 7:1.
By faith he built the ark. He built in faith at My direction that which saved him from the judgment that fell upon the earth. By taking My Word to heart and doing it, he made his way prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8. He went from ordinary to extraordinary. And with his own eyes he saw the punishment of the wicked, thousands fell at his side but it did not come near him.
By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. Hebrews 11:7.
There was only one man, Noah, among all the people on earth that went through the great flood and never even got wet, him and his whole family. There was one man, Abraham, who heard My voice and started a nation with Me when he and his wife were well past child-bearing age and from that one man came descendants, spiritual and physical, that outnumber the stars of the sky and the sands of the sea and from his line was born that seed of the woman I promised to you in the Garden of Eden. I entrusted the Messiah to his line, all because he heard My voice and delighted in Me. I taught him the gospel of My Son ahead of time. He saw the day of Jesus and rejoiced. He foretold Him as the Lamb that I would Myself supply as the burnt offering to take away the sins of the world.
By one man, Moses, I devastated an empire though he had no weapons of war and led a nation out of a nation who had taken them captive as their slaves. And that one man stood up at an impossible impasse and parted the sea and drowned an entire army after his people had gone through the walls of water on either side of them on dry ground. And he did it all with Me and a shepherd’s staff.
Through instructions given to one man, Joshua, the huge walls of city fell at the blasts of the trumpet and the joyful shout and the city was conquered.
One woman, Rahab, a harlot of Jericho, took her stance of faith on My side and stood alone in surviving the fall of Jericho by hanging a blood red cord in her window.
One woman, Deborah, saved a nation and brought down the enemy with a victory song, while even the king was reluctant to follow her lead to battle.
One youth, David, took down a giant warrior, with just a sling shot while the entire army of Israel hid from the giant in fear.
One man, Gideon, a coward when I first came to him, turned into a mighty champion that took down and routed thousands of enemy soldiers who had come to ransack Israel with just 300 men.
One man, Elijah brought a drought on Israel due to their rejection of Me to turn to idols, and he alone was brought water by a brook and bread by ravens and then fed miraculously by the multiplication of flour and oil in a widow’s jar and bowl throughout the drought. And at his word, the rain fell again.
He also raised two young boys from the dead when no one else even thought of doing so.
One man, Elisha, routed a whole army that came against him to take him captive by requesting that I strike them temporarily blind and he then led them out of the country after giving them a banquet. No fear of myriads of the enemy for he could see that My heavenly host around him outnumbered those of flesh.
He also was the only one in Israel who calmly took on the job of healing a man full of leprosy.
At a later date, in the midst of a siege by the enemy army against Samaria, when the people were perishing in starvation, Elisha simply prophesied abundance within 24 hours and so it happened, supplies, food, and good things overflowing. I routed the enemy to flee simply by the noise of the wings of My angelic host, which they thought was an onrushing army from Egypt come to attack them, and they fled in panic leaving abundance of good things behind for the people of Samaria. All at Elisha’s prayer of authority. No one else even stood up and made a peep. They all hid in the city to starve.
Three youths who believed in My Word were tossed into a fiery furnace for not worshipping any idol or another god and they went through the midst of the fire singing praises and came out not even smelling of smoke. No one else had dared to defy the king.
One man, Daniel, among all the people of Persia who was thrown in a hungry lions’ den, calmly spent the night there and was not even bitten or scratched for that entire night. He trusted in Me and it made him untouchable.
One man, Paul, stood up in a ship during the worst storm any of seasoned sailors on board had ever seen and calmly stated they would all survive because he was on board, and it was My Will he get to Rome to testify to My Son. He was peaceful while everyone else was panicking and it turned out just as he said.
One man, Paul again, was bit by a poisonous snake, shook it off into the fire, and was not affected in the least bit. Not one bit of fear. He knew what Jesus had told the disciples about snakes.
These people were people just like you and yet in all their generations they stood alone in doing such amazing things. They alone had the courage to stand up in the face of anything no matter how evil or impossible it appeared. Why?
The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:16-18.
If you read carefully about each one of them, and there are many more, you will find one thing that made them different and made them stand above the crowd so that they seemingly single-handedly held back and routed attacking armies, storms, disasters, plagues, fires, sickness, lack, oceans, rivers, and the like, and you see it from Noah to Abraham to Paul and beyond: each one of them drew close to Me and talked with Me. In fact, to be with Me hearing My Words was their delight. When they found My Words they devoured them and My Words became the joy and treasure of their hearts. When Moses listened to My Words he became radiant with My glory.
And consequently, they did not sit in the circle of worldly merrymakers seeking fleshly sensations and delights, they sat alone delighting in Me and waiting to hear what I had to say.
When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would arise and worship, each at the entrance of his tent. 11 Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses returned to the camp, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. Exodus 33:10-11.
And Joshua stood out above the crowd of over two million and led the children of those of his generation that were not of the same spirit of faith as he was in to conquer the Promised Land. Spending time with Me turned him into a fearless champion in the world. He kept up a running conversation with Me in My Word day and night. Joshua 1:7-9.
And I showed all who cared to draw close and know Me great and mighty things they could not know on their own or from the world, the flesh, and the devil. I revealed to Elisha all the enemy king’s battle plans so that the king of Israel, taking Elisha’s counsel, avoided being taken captive every time.
Who is the man who honors and reveres the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his seed will inherit the land. The secret of the LORD is for those who love and revere Him, and He will make them know His covenant. My eyes are continually toward the LORD, for He will pluck my feet out of the net. Psalm 25:12-15.
And now I want you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, the greatest man of faith that ever walked as one like you on the earth. He never did or said anything contrary to My Word, He is the faithful and true witness and My great amen to all that I have promised, for all are “yes” to you in Him.
And what did He do? Everywhere He went He could not escape notice for He walked in My authority and spoke with My authority because He was totally submitted to Me. He turned water into wine, He stood up against driving winds and rains and rebuked and calmed them, He rebuked fevers, He cast out demons, He raised the dead, He multiplied provisions to feed great crowds, He put the coins to pay taxes in the mouth of a fish, He spoke to blind eyes and they could see, He spoke to deaf hears and they could hear, He made cripples to walk and made the maimed whole, and He led sinners to repentance and new life. He came to undue the works of the devil and went about doing good and healing all those who had been oppressed by the devil their whole life. But above all else He talked with Me, sometimes entire nights, early in the mornings and all along the way each day He was consulting Me. He was entirely about My affairs, even when found in the temple at the age of 12 years. From birth I was His God and Father. And He told you I was your God and His God, His Father and your Father.
He became a brother, a kinsman redeemer, a savior, a servant, a sacrifice, a Shepherd, and a great High Priest to you to fulfill My Will. Nothing was too much for Him to do for you for He knew in serving you He was pleasing Me. He knew I sent Him to take on all your sins into His sinless eternal flesh and shed all His eternal blood to pay for the eternal life you lost. He had a heart for Me that was a heart for you because that was the direction of My heart.
And through it all He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and praised Me for the revelation of His Word to those who would hear Him for He speaks My Words and does My Works among you as one like you in all things but sin.
And as He has done so you must do. Stand up as one in ten thousand and stop the flames, stop the storms, cast out demons, heal the sick, speak to blind eyes to see, and to deaf ears to hear. STOP PERMITTING EVIL TO RUN OVER YOU AND STAND UP IN THE STRENGTH AND POWER OF MY MIGHT AND TAKE THE ENEMY DOWN UNDER YOUR FEET.
But to do this it all starts very simply. Draw close to Me and I will draw close to you. Listen to Me, do not harden your heart when I speak or just be so distracted with the voices of the world, the flesh, and the devil that you do not even hear My still soft voice witnessing with your spirit when I am speaking with you. Seek Me with all your heart and you will find Me right there with you more than ready to open a meaningful conversation that will light up your life and turn your cold heart into a heart burning with joy, enthusiasm and love. Fall in love with Me as I have with you from before you were even born.
David lived an amazing life of victory despite that he had many enemies from his youth that tried to stop and steal his destiny but I delivered him out of them all and brought him to be the most powerful and loving king to shepherd My people Israel that ever was and My Son will rule from David’s throne forever. But why was this so? Read Psalm 18, a song of David to Me alone.
“I love You, O LORD, my strength.” The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3.
Is that how you come to speak with Me? Have you ever opened your prayer or started your day that way? David always did, just read the psalms. He woke the dawn with his song to Me and My praise was ever in his mouth. He blessed Me at all times. And he invites you to join in with him.
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3.
You see that the authority to be amazing in your generation so that you are spoken of for generations to come is in your love for Me and in My love for you. Love makes you bold because you know Me what is yours in Me as My dear child.
“Because you are precious in My sight, you are honored and I love you. I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you.” Isaiah 43:4-5.
I love you. Do you know that? Let My love, for I am love, give you authority to take authority and be amazing, what the worldly permit you shall bind and what the worldly bind you shall loose. I have put an open door to Heaven before you and no one can shut that door for the door is Jesus, the Light of the world, and once you open your door to Him you will find that in Him every door is open to you in My Kingdom and every door has a blessing behind it. Psalm 103:1-5.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:20-21.
