Behold, I have given you authority (exousia) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Jesus came and My Will prospered in His hands. Isaiah 53:10. To do My Will was His delight and My law was within His heart. He reconciled you with Me and made shalom peace possible by His blood shed upon the Cross. He paid the judgment that was on all people though Adam’s sin and Jesus took the sentence for you that resulted from Adam’s treachery. And in this I was well pleased. For I wanted reconciliation with you who I created to be with Me as My family forever. So I have exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Philippians 2:6-11. He glorified Me and I have glorified Him. And I gave Him complete authority in Heaven and on earth and made Him the head of His body, the Church.

Jesus was totally submitted, committed, and attached to Me. He told you that He did not do or say things on His own initiative but consulted with Me and said only what I told Him to say and only did the works I showed Him to do. Jesus lived with a pure heart, a clear conscious, and was totally focused on His mission and mandate. He was determined to finish the work I gave Him to do. And He did.

Even though Jesus lived a pure, obedient, and submitted life, He was powerful. He exercised His dominion authority as one like you over the earth to promote the Kingdom, undo the works of the devil, give you abundant life, and save souls. He used My power to bring about miracles of compassion and great works of power, such as calming storms, making the blind to see and the deaf to hear, and multiplying loaves of bread and fish. And He told you to do the same and greater because whatever you ask in His Name He will do.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. John 10-17.

Jesus tells you here the source of His great power and strength, He submitted to My authority and received that authority from Me and did My works in the world. He overcame the world. Satan had no place in Him and My power moved freely in His heart and made His life an amazing life of excellence that produced fruit that remained, producing eternal life in all who partook of Him.

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.

How did He overcome? How did He hear from Me so clearly? Why was My power present and active in Him so that the healing power flowed out of Him to whoever touched Him with faith?

He gave no place in Him to the devil. He lived completely focused on pleasing Me by living pure of evil. He would not countenance it within Himself.

I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing (no place) in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. John 14:30-31.

Submit to My Word, resist the devil’s words, tactics, symptoms, and schemes, and he must flee for My authority becomes yours by delegation. When you take Jesus as Lord you align yourself with Him and tap into My authority flowing through His humanity to yours.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

And if you are willing and obey, He asks Me and I give you the Holy Spirit. I clothe you in POWER from on High.

I have made Jesus Lord. Supreme. I have put all things under His feet and given Him first place in everything. And when you take Him as Lord, you are born again and you are incorporated into His body, the church. And seated with Him as His body, all things are under your feet as well.

The night He was born My angel declared that the glad tidings of great joy for all people that he brought was the Savior was born to you who is Christ (Messiah), the Lord bringing My plan of Shalom and favor to all who would receive Him. You are saved when you confess Jesus as Lord.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.

What does Jesus say about being your Lord? It is a relationship of love and there is more. It is Covenant.

“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” John 14:21.

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:23-24.

It is a relationship of Covenant oneness where under Him you share His authority. All authority of the believer, which is great, comes from taking Him as your Lord.

But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17.

When you take Jesus as Lord you are aligning yourself with the One who has all authority in Heaven and on earth with preeminence over all things. And He makes covenant with you and thus raises you to His authority. It is from Him but He clothes you in power from on High and authorizes you to use it in His Name. This is delegated power (exousia) such as a policeman has all power of the state backing him as long as he is in uniform and performing according to the law and the rules of his office.

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority (exousia ( ἐξουσία): authority, power, right, jurisdiction) has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.

What people do not understand is that taking Jesus as your Lord and submitting to My Word as the gatekeeper to all your thoughts, words, and actions does not lessen your authority but puts you in the body of Christ that has all authority through its Head. And as part of the body that makes up the Church you have authority over every evil work and can destroy the work of the devil as your mandate. For as I sent Jesus in My authority so Jesus sends you in His authority.

You are in His body and He is the Head. You have been given the mind of Christ to give you the power of the anointing to bring all your thoughts, words and actions to be one with His and thus give you perfect peace, drive out all fear, and give you the answer in every trial, storm, and challenge of life.

The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, I have given you authority (exousia) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:17-19.

You not only get authority over the devil and the unclean spirits that rebelled with him but you get your name forever in the Lamb’s book of life and your eternal life is secured in Him. Your judgment is paid in full and your sentence to eternal death fully satisfied. You are free.

If Jesus is your Lord and you want to use His authority you must make Him Lord over your thoughts and words. He is the head, so take His thoughts and directions and renew your mind with them. And I through Jesus have entrusted you who believe and obey My Word with My Spirit and with the anointed mind of Christ so you can live your life through Him and reign in life and forever with Him and in Him.

But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:29-32.

I have rescued you from the realm of darkness and transferred you to the Kingdom of My beloved Son, in whom you have redemption by His blood, the forgiveness of your sins. Stay in My light and let His eternal blood continually cleanse you of all unrighteousness. To hear from Me you must live pure of evil. You must renew your mind to My thoughts and ways and you will have great peace, joy, and POWER.

Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him whether things on earth or things in heaven. Colossians 1:13-20.

He has preeminence in all things. When you make Him your Lord you should not longer think as you formerly did, that is, in selfish and bitter ways, taking offense at others and acting proudly. Give Him the preeminence over your thoughts and take them all captive to the obedience of Christ as He did with His thoughts for Me. There is great safety in entering into Covenant with Jesus by taking Him as Lord, for then through His Covenant with Me you are also joined in Covenant with Me. And this makes you a joint heir to all things with Christ.

Although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:6-11.

By taking Jesus as your Lord you go under His authority and receive His delegation of that authority as the disciples did to cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper, give sight to the blind, and raise up the dead. How? Not by human power or might but by My power working mightily within you beyond all you can ask or imagine.

By taking Jesus as Lord you enter Covenant and that releases His power for you to use according to His Word, His will, and to promote His Kingdom and take down evil, just as He did with Me while on earth.

To hear from Me, like Jesus, you must live pure.

I love you. I trust you when you trust Me. Think about that.
