Do not live in fear, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
You who are in Christ Jesus, who abide in My secret place, who find delight in My presence, have unlimited resources at your disposal. You are living under an open Heaven. The heavenly highway upon which My angels travel up and down opened over My Son at His baptism, and those who have been baptized in Christ have clothed themselves in Christ and are living under that same open Heaven of the blessing of the Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.
After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17.
And remember when Philip brought Nathanael to meet Jesus, Jesus told him he had seen him under the fig tree before he came and Nathanael answered Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.” Do you recall how Jesus answered him? “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And He said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” John 1:49-51.
Do you know what Jesus is confirming here? Do you remember when Jacob, the son of Isaac, was going to find a bride from among the kinsfolk of his mother Rebekah (and also fleeing Esau from whom he had taken the first born blessing) how I gave him a vision, on what was later to be Temple Mount, of a ladder joining earth with Heaven and the angels going up and down it? That is fulfilled in Jesus, that is, the opening of the good things of Heaven in a flow of the ministering angels sent forth to serve you who are heirs of salvation.
And what was Jacob’s response to this vision that opened the windows of Heaven to him and poured out a blessing he could not contain so even though he left his home with only staff in hand, he came back to that spot a man of great wealth in flocks, goods, children, and successful labor? He promised Me there that he would tithe everything of his increase to Me. And much later it was on that spot that Solomon built the temple where the tithe was to be brought. And then it was later yet that I was still talking about that open Heaven when I told My prophet Malachi to share with the people the secret of the tithe and the LORD of Hosts! Yes, your tithing activates the angels to bring down the blessings, riches, and treasures of Heaven to you.
“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! ring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts. “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 3:8-12.
And this is the only time I promise to rebuke the devil for you! Because you are tithers.
How great is the good I have stored up for those who love Me that I will bring forth before the sons of men!
Most of you are living way under the resources that are available to you. All My promises, as many and as magnificent as they are, are “YES” to you in Christ Jesus your Lord. You need only come with confidence and say “Amen.”
I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in Heaven in Christ. When Christ died to sin you died with Him for He bore all your sins, diseases, pain and guilt in your place. He paid the judgment against you, which you could not pay, and satisfied your sentence completely so that eternal life is yours. You have passed from death to life in Him and I have made you righteous in Him with My own righteousness.
And if that was not enough, I went further, I made you a new creation in Him, born again from above, and made you My child and heir, and not only an heir, but a joint heir with Christ, qualifying you for the double portion of the firstborn and the blessing of Abraham! It is jubilee every day for you in Christ! All debts paid and all restored to you that you lost in a double portion, like I did for Job for all the devil stole from him when he returned to Me.
And the open Heaven you are living under is not just for material blessings, though it definitely includes those, but also revelations, impartation, and clever ideas, inventions, strategies, battle plans, songs, books, paintings, the playing of instruments, building plans and projects, computers, information highways, internet, communications and every form of technology and media. And if that weren’t enough also abundance of peace, love, comfort, encouragement, healing, good health, and joy unspeakable filled with glory. Come share My joy with Me!
And beyond that miracles, signs, and wonders—when I open the windows of Heaven impossible things become possible and barren wastes become like the Garden of Eden. The blessing goes to work and it knows what to do to produce abundance.
But remember, you must sow to grow, and you must grow what you sow to reap a harvest.
He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; as it is written, “He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, his righteousness endures forever.” Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:6-11.
If you will note in the history of salvation that great wealth transfers and increase came to My people for projects that built up the Kingdom among them. I gave a great wealth transfer from the Egyptians to the Israelites slaves as they left Egypt the night of the Passover when I redeemed them from slavery to freedom. And remember what I gave it to them for? I asked them to give a freewill offering from all I had so graciously given to enrich them for the building of the tabernacle, My dwelling place among them. The place of the sacrifices for their sins and the worship that resulted in My abiding presence, leadership, and instruction so that they prospered and were in good health as they walked with Me in the truth.
And many years later when I again freed them from captivity, this time in Babylon, and returned them to freedom in the promised land there was a great wealth transfer from the pagan kings and people to My people to rebuild the temple that Nebuchadnezzar and the Chaldeans had destroyed. Again, a Kingdom building project.
And the tithe was primarily to support the temple and the ministry of the priests and those in the ministry in ministering to Me and My people. And so it is today as well. I do not change.
And when My apostle Paul writes to you about sowing and reaping it was in the context of a collection he was taking in all the churches to support the church and people in Jerusalem in a time of approaching famine. And when he wrote to the people of Philippi that I would supply for all their needs in accordance with the riches of My glory in Christ Jesus it was because they had sent him offerings for his work in preaching the Gospel.
Kingdom giving makes for Kingdom living. Keep that in mind if you want to increase more and more. Never neglect your tithes and offerings if you want to live under not just an open Heaven but an overflowing Heaven.
“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” Luke 6:38.
I love you and I love to bless you and make your life overflow with the abundant delights of My house. Give Me something to work with. If you don’t sow anything I cannot multiply your seed sown, zero doubled is still zero, even a hundredfold it is still zero. Never see tithing, offerings, or giving to others as I direct as a burden, see it as an opportunity to prosper and increase in everything good.
The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Galatians 6:6-10.
