He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Psalm 40:2-3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I want to make your life beautiful, the most beautiful life ever lived and to do this I give you redemption. I have redeemed your life from the pit.
I made Jesus to be wisdom to you, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. He redeemed you by His blood from all your sins and by hanging on the Cross He became a curse for you He redeemed you from the curse of the law of sin and death and opened to you the blessing of Abraham and the promise of the Holy Spirit by faith. He is the resurrection and the life. I did not leave Him in the pit of destruction but raised Him up and seated Him with Me at My right hand.
Jesus is My gift to you and He is the Resurrection and the Life. He redeems you from the pit, for when I raised Him, I raised you with Him. You will not go to hell with the Holy Spirit in you but if you yield to Satan you could spend your life on earth in the pit of destruction.
One of the benefits I give you as described in Psalm 103 is to redeem you out of the pit. A pit is a dark place that imprisons you in a place of destruction. It can ultimately be hell, but it can be anything or circumstance in this present age that entraps you and takes you, at least in your perception, out of Christ, so that you do not claim your benefits. A pit steals the joy of My love from you and curtails your glorious freedom as My child. It can be depression, financial lack, destructive circumstances, a literal hole in the ground (like where his brother’s threw Joseph before pulling him out to sell him into human trafficking), anxiety, or fear.
I redeem you out of the pit. I pull you out of the pit. How do I do that? By My Word: I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions (pits). Psalm 107:20. Your lifeline has been sent, ready for you to take hold of and it is My Word.
Let Me show you how.
When you get in a miry, dark pit, you usually get there because you have allowed yourself to think upon wrong thoughts which torment you, such as past sins, financial worries, doubts about your future, fear of people, places or things, pain, sickness, offense, bitterness, unforgiveness, and a record of wrongs you keep about yourself or others. These are toxic thoughts that take faith and joy out of you and put you in dark place.
There are unclean spirits behind these thoughts and you should not house them no matter how familiar they have become to you. They can put you in a place where you no longer see and rejoice in the plans I have for you, plans for your shalom (wholeness in every area of your life) and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. When Satan has blinded your mind to the truth of My Word, everything looks evil. And you lose hope. This is a very low level to allow yourself to participate in if you are in Christ. You do not belong there, it is the place of scoffers and sinners, and I tell not to sit with them or become familiar with them.
This is a taste of hell on earth, but Jesus tasted death for you, I laid Him in the dust of death, so that you would never go there. It is time you took hold of your lifeline. He is the resurrection and the life. Never forget from everlasting He is first and foremost My Word. And I sent Him to heal you and deliver you from your destructions. And the good news is He did. And it is yours in Him. It is time you got out of that pit and walked in the light of an open Heaven.
How do you do that? Look to My Word, keep your eyes on Jesus, and you will come out of that pit and never fall in it again. Like Job. But only if you learn what I am telling you today and do it.
Remember the ability and the blessing come with the doing of My Word. If you are willing and obey you will have the best of the land.
I waited, waited for the LORD; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Psalm 40:1-3.
David tells you he waited on Me when he got in that pit and I set his feet on a height. And he tells you the way I got him out and onto the height, I put a new song in his mouth of praise.
Whenever David got in a dark place he diligently, actively, sought My Word on what to do. Like at Ziklag, he and his men got in a very deep pit, weeping and lying on the ground too weak with grief to go on, but suddenly, when his own men turned against him and blamed him for the trouble they were in, he got up, shook off the dust and encouraged himself with My Word. He sang Psalm 103 and then he inquired of Me what to do and I told him to go after the band that had raided his village and he would recover all. And once he had his lifeline in the Word I sent him, he took hold of it and obeyed, though he did not know where to go! But once he and his men stepped out in obedience I sent a guide to lead them right to where the enemy was for a surprise attack and David recovered all and more than had been stolen from his town but also the goods from neighboring towns they had raided as well.
I told the prophet Isaiah that those who wait on Me in times weakness will receive new strength and rise up on eagle’s wings. That will take you quickly out of any pit. Remember, waiting on Me means actively seeking My Word on the subject that has gotten you into the pit.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:28-31.
How do I give you strength? By My Word. I am the LORD your strength and I am My Word.
This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your Word has revived me. Psalm 119:50.
The Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahavah) has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Isaiah 50:4.
It is My Word that lifts you up and makes you strong for it enlightens you and brings you the answer.
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105.
And who is that lamp?
And the [heavenly] city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. Revelation 21:23.
And when you are born again from above by the imperishable seed of My Word I light your spirit with My light to dispel the darkness in all your innermost parts.
The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the innermost parts of his being. Proverbs 20:27.
The mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:26-27.
When you are in a dark place let Me rescue you into My own marvelous light by My Word to you that is just what you need to hear to turn everything around.
We have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:19-21.
In a dark place to find the way out you need light. It will get you out of the pit and give you the strength to leap over a wall.
For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run upon a troop; and by my God I can leap over a wall. Psalm 18:28-29.
And I have given you light in My gift to you of Jesus so that you who believe in Him will never perish but will have the light of life.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.
To follow your good Shepherd as He leads you out of the dark valley of the shadow of death you need to hear and obey His voice and then you can safely get to the banquet table of My Word and taste and see My goodness till your cup overflows with My anointing of joy as My goodness and lovingkindness overwhelm and pursue you all your days as you enter My house now and forever. And in My house is the river of delights of which I offer you to drink freely of its abundance and therein is the fountain of life and in My light you see light.
I love you. You can get out of the miry pit right into the banquet hall of My house forever if you will just diligently seek the good Shepherd and attach to Him like a branch to the vine and let Him share My Word with you so your joy can be complete. And He will always lead you to the living water to drink as I wipe every tear from your eyes. All from seeking My Word and doing it no matter how low you have let yourself go.
