Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” John 11:25-26.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When I redeemed the Israelites out of slavery I led them to the land I had promised them flowing with milk and honey, a land of abundance and fruitfulness filled with beautiful cities, large homes, vineyards, fruit trees and wells that I gave to them as My people. But there was more, there were wonders done and wonders in store to give them all I had promised and more.
And the LORD said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will perform wonders that have never been done in any nation in all the world. All the people among whom you live will see the LORD’s work, for it is an awesome thing that I am doing with you.” Exodus 34:10.
But everything, though real and tangible, which I showed them was a sign that would yet be fulfilled in the fullness of time. It was far more than they could hold or understand, but the signs were there for those who those who would understand.
As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look. 1 Peter 1:10-12.
But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?” Matthew 16:2-3.
When in the time of My prophet Isaiah the Arameans came to conquer Jerusalem, the king and the people trembled with fear. But Isaiah had a Word from Me and went to Ahab the king, the grandson of Uzziah, with a message not to fear, to be calm and not fainthearted, for they would triumph and the enemy would not win. I had them covered. But I saw his faith was not strong enough to stand, that he was ready to give in or run to Egypt for assistance, so I told Ahab if he would not believe he would not last but to reassure him, I was ready to give an extraordinary sign to establish him in My deliverance from the enemy. But he did not want a sign, he wanted to run for worldly help.
So Isaiah told him: “Ask a sign for yourself from the LORD (Yahavah) your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven.” But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the LORD!” Then Isaiah said, “Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well? Therefore the Lord (Adonai- Jesus) Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel, which means “God with us.” Isaiah 7:11-14.
The promise of old, from the Garden, of the redeemer, to restore the eternal life that you lost by sin.
The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you will go, and dust you will eat all the days of your life; and I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall crush your head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:14-15.
And that sign, that wonder, came to pass:
Behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.” Matthew 1:20-23.
The sign of what was to come, the seed of the woman that would crush the devil’s head and give you back all Adam lost and more.
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth good will towards men.” Luke 2:8-13.
Into these matters angels long to search.
For a child is born to you, a Son is GIVEN you, and upon His shoulder dominion rests. His Name is wonderful, counselor, God hero, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. A baby. God hero as a baby? The sign and the wonder.
From the mouth of infants and nursing babes, You have established strength because of Your adversaries, to make the enemy and the revengeful cease. Psalm 8:2.
A man like you in all things but sin. He understands what it is to be human and what it is to be God in one seamless life. Jesus Christ the one mediator between Me and you. Your kinsman redeemer. Another sign and wonder fulfilled.
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2:3-6.
And in Him grace would come, the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him. John 16-18.
And established in righteousness, My righteousness as your own in Him, you are far from oppression.
“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. “If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you.” Isaiah 54:14-15.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
The enemy, the adversary, the accuser of the brethren, that ancient serpent of old, that puffed up dragon, the devil himself, is under your feet when you are in Christ. The ultimate fulfillment of all the promises, prophesies, signs, wonders, miracles wrapped up in One perfect Man who joins humanity with divinity and divinity with humanity so you can be filled with My fullness. And in Him you have eternal life restored but better than before.
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32.
Jesus is My greatest sign and wonder for He is your Salvation in every situation in life, death, the grave and beyond. He comes to take you with Him, to the place He has prepared for you where He is in the Kingdom of Heaven.
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-3.
Jesus is God with you, for you, and in you. He is the way I abide with you and you with Me for in Him I have made you sinless, blameless and beyond reproach. Why? I am love and love covers a multitude of sins. I offer you the sign of Salvation realized in your time taking you into eternity with Me. In Him is everything, every good thing given and every perfect gift.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18.
In Adam and beyond you had already been judged and condemned, but I so loved you I sent My Son into the world to pay your judgment and take you sentence. If you receive the gift of My Son it is complete for you and you are made perfect before Me.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10.
For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 10:14.
He released you from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom, priests unto Me. Revelation 1:5-6. My royal priesthood, a holy nation, My Covenant family. 1 Peter 2:9-10.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:1-2.
But let us look again at the signs and the treasure to come that now is yours forever. Let us look to My revelations to My prophet Isaiah, to whom I showed the glory of Jesus. John 12:41.
Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted. Just as many were astonished at you, My people, so His appearance was marred more than any man and His form more than the sons of men. Thus He will sprinkle many nations, kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; for what had not been told them they will see, and what they had not heard they will understand. Isaiah 52:13-15.
And then begins the eyewitness account of Isaiah encompassing both the physical sufferings of the Messiah and the spiritual realties taking place—both are revealed herein so you may understand the greatest sign and wonder of all Heaven and earth, so that at His Name every knee shall bow.
Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? Isaiah 53:1.
I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself. He is My strong arm of Salvation that I reached down to gather you into My bosom.
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground. Isaiah 53:2.
I am the God who sows seed, Jezreel. My Word is seed for the sower and bread for the eater and planted and grown in your heart, Jesus, My Word, will put the seed of eternal life into your heart to shoot forth as your glorified body on the Last Day. I sowed the imperishable seed of Jesus into the world, a place dry and scorched from sin, and of His fullness you all receive the living water, like the sign of the fleece filled with dew that emptied into the dry earth to make it tender and soft for Gideon’s sign, and when He fell into the earth and died up came the resurrection.
He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Isaiah 2-3.
Jesus grew up in the town of Nazareth. He was not a scribe or Pharisee or a High Priest of the Law upon the earth. He was meek and humble of heart. He came to serve and not to be served. to give His life as the ransom to Me for the many. He became sin for you so in Him you were justified. He despised the shame for the joy of saving you to be with Me forever. He humbled Himself, emptying Himself of His powers as God, and lowering Himself to be known as one of you, humbling Himself to the law of sin and death so you would be freed from the fear of death.
Surely our sickness and griefs He Himself bore, and our pain and sorrows He carried. Isaiah 53:4.
Jesus not only took your sins on Himself but also all the consequences of sin: sickness, grief, pain, sorrows, guilt, blame, reproach, and shame. You are free to live the shalom life of abundance anointed with the oil of joy. A wonder.
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being (shalom) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5.
This passage that Isaiah penned about 800 years before Jesus came to earth clothed in flesh tells the sign and the wonder. He was pierced in crucifixion to take away sin and the punishment due it, He was crushed like the grape to wine, the grain to bread, the olive to the oil. By His superabundant merits My Son obtained for you shalom peace and the gift of perfect health by healing all your ills. I have already made it yours in Him. Do not neglect so great a gift. But like any gift, the law is that it is not completed until received.
All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:6.
And there is the wonder of My singular justice. You had all left Me to go after the things of the world, the flesh and the devil but that did not stop Me from loving you, I wanted you to return to Me as if nothing had ever come between us. I sent Jesus to undo the works of the devil and set you free so you could return to Me.
“I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22.
So we continue with more good news of your Salvation (Yeshuah).
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth. Isaiah 53:7.
Do you recall Pilate was amazed that Jesus did not answer back to all the accusations of the priests, Pharisees, and scribes? He did not answer Herod either. He had to die. He had taken every sin on Himself and the wages of sin is death. I had sentenced Him to your death sentence and you, like the sinner Barabbas (“son (bar) of the Father (Abba)”), were justified and set free. The guilty set free by the innocent Lamb of sacrifice as in the offerings of the Tabernacle of Moses. The sign fulfilled. The substance of the shadows had come.
By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due? Isaiah 53:8.
He took the wrath and saves you from the wrath to come. He was oppressed and abandoned, so that you are freed from oppression and never abandoned. I will never leave you or forsake you and have sworn never to be angry with you again. Isaiah 54:9-10. Why? I remember Jesus and so should you.
His grave was assigned with wicked men, yet He was with a rich man in His death, because He had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in His mouth. Isaiah 53:9.
He was crucified between two criminals and treated as a transgressor, but Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy member of the ruling class (Sanhedrin), came to bury Him in his own new tomb hewn into the rock. My Word is absolutely accurate and matches to every detail though written hundreds of years before. But I know the end from the beginning. Your times are in My hands.
But the LORD was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to sickness and grief. If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His seed. He will prolong His days, and the Will (good pleasure) of the LORD will prosper in His hand. Isaiah 53:10.
I was pleased to reconcile you back to Me and give you eternal life by laying all punishment on Myself in My Son. I took responsibility for you—I responded according to My ability to save you. I am the ultimate Judge, Lawgiver, and King and I am gracious, merciful and filled with loving compassion but I must do justice and sin cannot go unpunished. So I had the plan to save you by making My Son the sin offering, the guilt offering, the peace offering, the grain offering, and the burnt offering. The scapegoat of old. And He did My Will with delight, My good pleasure for you prospered in His pierced hands. A sign and a wonder. And when I raised Him from the dead, He showed the pierced hands that had won your shalom to His disciples as He so stated, “Shalom.” My plans for you from eternity. Jeremiah 29:11. And He, like Me, is sowing seed in you for eternal life. For Jesus is the seed sown and the sower of seed for one seed once it falls into the earth and dies no longer remains alone. It becomes a producer of fruit and a sower of more seed. We are One.
As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; by His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the booty with the strong. Isaiah 53:11-12.
Jesus came of His own decision to save you by bearing everything you had done wrong and were suffering under the burden of sin in the world to justify and set you free. This was My Will and He did it perfectly. I raised Him up and glorified Him and His prayer at the Last Supper to Me was that I would glorify you in Him with His glory. And I have made you joint heirs with Him as My born again children and heirs. And to you who overcome, He has granted to sit on His throne with Him in Heaven, just as He overcame and sits with Me on My throne. Welcome home! Come with confidence to My throne as I have already seated you there in the spirit with Christ!
Because He poured out Himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He Himself bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12.
Sound familiar? Of course. Remember.
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.” Matthew 26:26-27.
Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you. His blood is eternal, an eternal redemption. The Passover memorial made eternal in Jesus. Exalted at My right hand and you are there in Him. There is no other name given among men by which you must be saved. Acts 4:12.
No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. John 3:13-15.
I love you. And I have sealed you in Jesus, Ephesians 1:13-14, so that He cannot lose you but must raise you up in your glorified, immortal body, John 6:38-40, for which the seed is already planted in your spirit. And you too in Him are a sign and a wonder! And you too are a sower of seeds to bring a harvest to a hungry world.
So may I ask you a question? What is the sign of all signs and the wonder of all wonders?
Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name or His Son’s Name? Surely you know! Proverbs 30:4.
