Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits. Psalm 103:2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
To know Me you must listen not only to others but also what I tell you about Myself.
“And they shall not teach everyone his fellow citizen, and everyone his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all will know Me, from the least to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 9:11-12.
No Word of Mine is without effect. My Words contains the power that creates, remakes, sustains, maintains, heals, and holds all things together. And I tell you that My mouth is all sweetness and that I am altogether delightful. And this should tell you about what I make and what I do not, what My Will is and what it is not, and what works are Mine and which are not.
Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17.
I desire above all that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. And your soul prospers by walking in the truth. I delight in those who walk in the truth. My Word is truth. And the truth is that I have blessed you in Christ with every spiritual blessing in Heaven, have given you the Kingdom, paid the judgment you owed Me and gave you My own righteousness by the finished work of Christ on your behalf and that you have all of the following benefits:
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits, He pardons all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases; He redeems your life from the pit, He surrounds and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; He satisfies your days with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:2-5.
Benefits. Daily I load you with benefits. Just like the manna fell to the earth on the dew each morning without any effort or particular merit on the people’s part, and all they had to do was go out and gather it, it is the same with My benefits. They are there for you, each morning My mercies are new, but you need to be aware they are there and you need to gather them. Do not forget that you have them. Never forget what I have done for you and freely given you in Christ.
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:8-12.
Moses had met Me at the burning bush when his people were in the fire of the affliction of slavery and ill treatment, others oppressing them from the goodness I have planned for everyone. I came down to save them and I chose Moses to work it into the earth with Me, to release My authority by his dominion authority that I have given you all. And he watched Me perform mighty deeds through his hands and rescue a people out of slavery, do the impossible in terms of the flesh to work righteousness and justice in the earth. But above all he had a revelation of My merciful, gracious love and he wanted to know Me, he wanted to see My glory, he wanted to know Me intimately as a friend and never go anywhere unless I was going with him. And what did I tell him I would show him that would show him Me? My goodness.
O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8.
Jesus told the rich young ruler that none was good but Me alone. It is true that I do good and give you good works to do but beyond that I do not just do good, I am good. I am goodness itself. I can do nothing but good. So if what you have is not good, it is not from Me and it is time you took authority over it and cast it out. Never harbor unclean spirits, you are My temple now.
For the Word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His goodness and lovingkindness. Psalm 33:4-5.
Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have done for those seeking refuge in You before people! Psalm 31:19.
And in this passage you see My glory at work in Jesus:
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38.
My glory is My goodness, My presence, and My power, and you see all three of them at work in Jesus. When My glory appears, your joy is full. I am always inviting you into My fullness so that you will never be without joy, for My joy is your strength.
You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:11.
To be happy and free you must concentrate on Me, that is, put your attention on the good things of My gifts to you and shun other things that have nothing to do with My plan for your life that is from everlasting to everlasting. The sin that so easily entangles you has nothing to do with goodness, has nothing to do with fullness of true joy that is joy forever. Free from distractions, you are ready for action at every moment. Life My friend, Abraham. As soon as I called him, he stood up straight and said, “Here I am.” He was always ready for a new adventure with Me. Why? Because he knew My goodness. That is all he ever experienced from Me and that was always what he expected from Me, even when I told him to sacrifice his son, he knew he and the boy would return from the experience not only unharmed but better off than before. He knew I would provide for Myself the Lamb for the burnt offering and it was not going to be Isaac. And he was right. He was fully persuaded that whatever I promised, I performed, and I had promised him that his descendants would be through his son Isaac.
And not being weak in faith, Abraham did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what God had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Romans 4:19-22.
He gave Me glory, he believed in and praised My goodness. He lived long and stayed strong, full of years and fully satisfied with his life that I had given him. And I call him your father in the faith.
Praise is the way to free up your day and also your heart. It makes you grateful and faithful so you do not fall away but keep to the narrow way.
The narrow way is the best way. It is the way of wisdom and life. It keeps you within the beauty of your inheritance and walking in a manner worthy of the calling you have received by grace.
The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. Psalm 16:5-6.
It is the way of righteousness.
Indeed, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its produce. Righteousness will go before Him and will make His footsteps into a way. Psalm 85:12-13.
He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:3.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6.
The righteous shall live by faith and that is the narrow way. It is the place of grace, My life poured in you enabling you to live godly good and pleasant lives. Walking in the Spirit by faith and not in the flesh by sight.
The wide way is devoid of Spirit and focused only on flesh. The deeds of the flesh are unrestrained and stained, the products of a seared conscience and letting go of the reins so the uncontrolled emotions rule your life—hating and hated, not trusting and not trustworthy, venting and arguing, letting anger get out of control.
On the other hand, the narrow way is the way of following My Will and staying in My rest. There is more rest in a sound, disciplined mind than in an uncontrolled mind run by your emotions that does not screen thoughts. And My Will for you in Christ Jesus is to rejoice in Me always, pray without ceasing and give constant thanks. This will produce the fruit of the Spirit in you and keep you always in the freedom of the narrow way.
Knowing Me keeps you on the narrow way to life.
When you put your faith in Jesus, you attached to the right vine to produce the fruit you love, the life you want, and the eternity you desire with all your heart. In Him, you have chosen the best part and it will not be taken away from you. In Me alone you will find the desires of your heart. Today pursue the desire of your heart, and you will only find that in Me, for it is Me, goodness and love.
Seek My face. You seek Me by putting your attention on Me. I call seeking Me constantly, “waiting on the LORD,” and you know the results when you do that! I pull you out of the pit and put you on a height and I make you to soar with eagle’s wings, to run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.
Just come to Me and I can take care of the rest. Just come and throw yourself into My arms—they are wide open to you.
‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. Exodus
I am gentle and humble of heart towards you. I am compassionate and gracious and kind. My plans for you are for your shalom (prosperity, peace, fruitfulness, joy—the whole pie of life with not missing pieces) and not evil to give you a future and a hope that will never disappoint.
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:1-7.
Do you want to know who I am? I am goodness, I am light, I am love and that is who I am. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from Me. And I have called you to be one with Me in My Son. The invitation is open and I will never take it away. Won’t you RSVP “yes”? That is all I need and I will do the rest.
It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it. Proverbs 10:22.
I love you. Have you been with Me all this time and still do not know Me? Come, draw near, I have been waiting for you. The wedding feast for My Son is all prepared and there is a place reserved for you. Do not refuse so great a salvation, you were purchased at a great price. You are Mine and I am yours.
“I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine.” Song of Songs 6:3.
“His mouth is full of sweetness. And He is wholly desirable. This is my Beloved and this is my Friend.” Song of Songs 5:16.
