And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Mark 4:18-19.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The cares of this life are heavy. If you let them dominate you they grow like thorn bushes that choke out the seed of My Word in your heart and thorn bushes produce nothing but pain.
In pain (itstsabon (עִצָּבוֹן): worrisomeness, i.e. labor or pain) you will eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you. Genesis 3:17-18.
How can you counter the heavy burdens of the cares of this life? Simple, you give them to Me to carry for you.
Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our pain He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being (shalom) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5.
And not just carry but bear them and solve them. Cast your cares on Me and let Me take care of them for you. A father looks after the needs and well-being of his children so they can prosper and be happy.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your cares (anxieties, worries, pains) on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7.
There is a reason Jesus gave you His peace and His joy. He knew there would be troubles and trials in this life, but cheer up and take courage for He has overcome the world, John 16:33, and, when you believed in the good news of your salvation, I sealed you in Him by the Holy Spirit as a pledge that you possess eternal life with the sure promise of a glorified body that has no illness, pains, worry or death. Ephesians 1:13-14.
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.
You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:4-5.
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9.
You see, that I have made you an overcomer in Christ. You can live in, through, and with Him in perfect peace and joy. Learn from Him how to do this. He did it in His earthly sojourn with Me.
At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is [aa]easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:25-30.
I am your Father, I created you by the Words of My mouth, the breath of My Spirit and the work of My hands. A little child is carefree because they know their parent is taking care of everything for them. If they need something they just ask and expect to receive good things. And they do if they have a good parent.
Ask, and it will be given to you;]seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:7-11.
A child can run to his father and mother in fear or danger and know they will take him up upon their laps and hold him close in their arms till harm pass by. But even should your mother or father abandon you or forget you, I never will. I have written your names in My hands and in My heart forever. Just like the precious jewels engraved with the names of the twelve tribes from whom all the people of Israel were descended on the breastplate over the heart of the High Priest so that they were ever before Me, so are your names, like precious stones are engraved on the breastplate of you great High Priest Jesus, which is the Lamb’s Book of Life, before My eyes day and night as He intercedes for you and brings you to My throne of grace.
Do not let the cares of this world enter into your heart and ruin the secret garden of your life. They will choke off revelation, impartation, and emancipation. They will imprison and choke out your life like thorns that have taken over a garden and killed its flowers, fruit, fragrance and life.
Pray for others but do not let their cares burden you. It is not your concern but Mine. Give it to Me with confident joy that I will handle it.
Job cared and worried so much about his children and kept speaking that he feared they were sinning and would be destroyed that his “care” for them killed them.
“For what I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet, and I am not at rest, but turmoil comes.” Job 3:25-26.
Faith works by believing in your heart and speaking with your mouth and so does fear. What you believe and speak you call in to your life.
I tell you to cast you cares on Me because I care for you. But I do not leave it there. I tell you how to do it so that you can be complete, lacking in nothing and with no worrisome days and nights ever again.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7.
And then I even give you exactly what to allow your mind to think upon. Remember this series is about monitoring your thoughts, words, and actions as the building blocks of your life.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9.
Job learned that lesson the hard way but he learned it and never got into that pit again.
Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. Hear, now, and I will speak; I will ask You, and You instruct me. I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye sees You; therefore I retract, and I repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42:3-6.
I restored all he lost double and his latter days were more blessed than his former ones. He knew how to live carefree before Me. He spoke only what he wanted to see. No more fear or ill at ease, he only practiced peace. He monitored his thoughts and his mouth and never destroyed his life by “caring” too much again.
The Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; and he had 14,000 sheep and 6,000 camels and 1,000 yoke of oxen and 1,000 female donkeys. He had seven sons and three daughters. He named the first Jemimah, and the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch. In all the land no women were found so fair as Job’s daughters; and their father gave them inheritance among their brothers. After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations. And Job died, an old man and full of days. Job 42:12-17.
Learn from My Son. He is meek and humble of heart and your souls will find rest for His yoke is easy and His burden light. Why? He carries yours for you. The anointing lifts the burden and destroys the yoke. Selah.
I love you. Cast your cares on Me and now you know how. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give constant thanks, and that is My Will for you in Christ Jesus your Lord and High Priest of your confession. Agree with Me and happy your will be.
