I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
If you really want to live unfettered, unhindered, holy, and blameless there is only one way—emptied of self (the worldly depressed addicted flesh—the old man) and full of Me (the new creation in Christ—the new man).
The mind set on your flesh is death. Just think about the deeds of the flesh and you will understand why you want to strip off the old man and clothe yourself in the new.
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21.
The mind set above in the Spirit is life and peace. It is all about where you are putting your attention because that is where your heart is and that is what will fill your mouth and that is what gets written in your heart, and that is what makes your life happy and free or depressed and tormented.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24.
If you are tired of your old ways it is time to accept the new you that I made you when you received Jesus as your Lord and became a new creation, born again from above, in Him.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:18-20.
Do you recall that in the first community of the new born church, the body of Christ, when the apostles wanted to pick some members of the community to be in charge of the administration of the meals. So the twelve summoned the congregation of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable for us to neglect the word of God in order to serve tables. Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Acts 6:2-4. The statement found approval with the whole congregation; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch. And these they brought before the apostles; and after praying, they laid their hands on them. Acts 6:5-6.
Do you see? Everyone in the community had received Jesus as Lord, been born again from above and thus had the Holy Spirit dwelling in them but there was a difference in those filled with the Holy Spirit and the other believers. A difference that was even discernable to the believers. And even among those singled out as full of the Spirit, Stephen stood out above the rest. Why? He also was full of faith. He was full of the Spirit and of truth. Faith comes from knowing what you believe in is true and cannot fail. My Word is truth. Faith is easy when you know the truth of My Word and have success with it.
How was Stephen full of the Spirit and of faith and the others were not? He knew My Word better than the others. Why? That was what he was interested in while others were more interested in complaining about some getting better treatment or more food than they got. Still back in the old greedy, self-seeking flesh.
Now at this time while the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Hellenistic Jews against the native Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food. Acts 6:1.
What was Paul’s take on that kind of selfish behavior?
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men? 1 Corinthians 3:1-3.
Babies. They needed to grow up. How do you grow up spiritually?
Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord. 1 Peter 2:1-2.
My Word is breathed from Me by My Spirit. Faith comes from hearing, speaking, meditating upon and doing My Word. And you get filled with the Spirit by singing and making melody in your hearts with My Word. When My Word becomes your song and constant companion, guide, and teacher there is no room for anything else. When you get full of My Holy Spirit there is NO room for any unclean spirits.
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17.
Jesus told you that the prince of this world, the devil and the unclean spirits that accompany him, had no place in Him. Nothing, not even a crack or a toehold. Why? Jesus was FULL of the Holy Spirit. There was no room in Him for anything impure or unclean. For My Spirit is pure and clean. Light is pure and light drives out all darkness. Full of Him you are full of power, power over all the forces of the evil one.
At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Luke 10:21-22.
I reveal to you that in My house you drink of the abundance of the river of delights for from Me flows the fountain of life and in My light you see light. Psalm 36:8-9. What is that river of delights that is the fountain of life?
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” She said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep; where then do You get that living water? You are not greater than our father Jacob, are You, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself and his sons and his cattle?” Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:10-14.
That though was just the first taste, He then let you know you could take in the whole river as a continuous live stream!
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39.
Jesus told you and offered to give you that living water and when He ascended to My right hand He kept that promise and poured My Spirit into your hearts to become that fountain of eternal life. And what happened? Utterance. They all spoke in tongues and got filled with the Holy Spirit!
And they kept getting filled the more they drank so that even in persecution they could not but be filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. They forgot the old man and became the new happy man that nothing could take down, they had the joy no one could take from them as a permanent resident inside their hearts. The secret place for the secret man of the heart and it is there that I surround you with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:15-20.
Some of you are dying of thirst and that is why you are empty and depressed. It is time you let Me fill up your cup with the delightful stream of crystal clear living water that is flowing to you through the heart of Jesus from My throne. Home is where the heart is. Make sure your heart is where I have seated you in Christ.
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4.
Set your mind channel on the realm of love and light.
I love you. If you feel dried up and disgusted, drained and sad, it is time to get glad. Come to the altar of your God of gladness and joy with the voice of thanksgiving speaking of all My wonders that I am about to do in your life, and in fact, have already done and prepared the path for you to do them, and let Me give you to drink from the abundance of My house—the river of delights, the fountain of life, the living stream from My throne. After all, and above all, that is where you are seated in the Spirit even now. Partake.
