Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Also, has God not said, ‘You shall eat of all the trees of the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’” The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:1-5.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When I asked Adam and Eve, “Who told you that you were naked?” it was not a rhetorical question. I was asking them to evaluate to whose voice they were listening and in that way discern the veracity of the source.
And each of you needs to evaluate in the same manner whether you are listening to the voice of your good Shepherd by My Spirit in you or if you are hearing the voice of the stranger, for you do have an adversary who accuses My children night and day and he is a spirit who can insert thoughts into your mind. Because you have been born again as My child he cannot take possession of you but he is able to oppress you if you take in his lies as true.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:1-5.
The first parable My Son taught was of first importance in understanding the tactics of the devil so that you can walk in the truth and live a fruitful life. My Son revealed to you that the first thing the devil goes after in your life is to take My Word out of your heart so that hearing it you do not hear and seeing you do not see. He does not, at any cost, want you to persevere in remaining in My Word. Why? Because then he knows he cannot take your territory or the victory away from you. And even worse, you will start taking back what he has stolen and you will be showing others how to do so as well.
The sower sows the Word. These are the ones who are beside the road where the Word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the Word which has been sown in them. Mark 4:14 -15.
And you see this is the first thing he did to Eve and Adam.
So today we look at Lie No. 1 that he will present to you but as one undercover trying to make you believe that the thought is your own, but it comes from the voice of the stranger: “God’s Word is not true—or at least not the whole truth, is subject to question, and is holding you down.”
I reveal him in at this point in time with Eve and Adam as a crafty snake, not as the beautiful cherub who guards in Eden that I had assigned to Eden to serve as angels for My first man and woman, as I described him to My prophet Ezekiel.
You had the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the ruby, the topaz and the diamond; the beryl, the onyx and the jasper;the lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; and the gold, the workmanship of your tambourines and flutes was in you. On the day that you were created they were prepared. You were the anointed cherub who guards, and I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire. Ezekiel 28:13-14.
But at the point he approached Eve and Adam with his lies to take the throne they had with Me and their dominion authority over the earth he had already become corrupted by his own lies.
You were blameless in your ways and from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you. By the abundance of your trade you were internally filled with violence, and you sinned. Ezekiel 28:15-16. By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries. Ezekiel 28:18.
He became corrupted and fell from his heavenly position of anointed cherub at the point for he had spoken his desires, which were not according to My Words about the assignment of angels to service, as faith declarations, trying to operate as I do with My Word by speaking his words over Mine to take the throne I had for you, My children created in My image.
But you said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars [angels] of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” Isaiah 14:13-14.
And My answer to his lies:
Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. Isaiah 14:15.
So what was he to do to get his desire of getting back up into Heaven above the other angels on the throne of the sons of men who are in My image? He went after the man and woman I had created in My image and according to My likeness to obtain that which he was seeking. For he was well aware that I had given them dominion authority over the earth and a seat at My right hand in Heaven and he knew once I had given man dominion authority over the earth, the leasehold interest for a term, though I am still the fee owner, I could not take it back, the man could do with it what he wanted. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy by deceit. (A “scam artist” or “con man” as they call it today, and they learn from and serve him, of course.) So he came to take that authority by having Adam and Eve delegate it to him by submitting to his word and incurring sin against Me that would cause a debt they would not be able to pay back.
So he came with Lie No. 1. And it worked on them though I had told Adam to cultivate and guard the Garden. And Adam and Eve knew Me and My Word very well. That is why I referred to Adam’s part it in later as treason.
But like Adam they have transgressed the covenant; there they have dealt treacherously against Me. Hosea 6:7.
But now, many generations later most of you who fall for this lie, it is because of ignorance. For there is a famine in the land, but not for bread but for My Word.
People call themselves enlightened who ignore My Word for other theories and philosophies which are actually doctrines of demons and call it science. Physics, chemistry, biology, botany and all sciences, math, electrical power and engineering are all just studying the wondrous things that I have made from My Word and the laws I set up by which they work and produce in an orderly and beneficial manner for mankind. People get so fascinated by them they think they invented them and made them evolve. But that is another tactic of the devil called the pride of life, that is, a life of empty show. Trying to take what I have done away from Me.
So the devil approached Eve and she was not unfamiliar with him, you will note the dialogue begins with the word “also” which means he had conversed with her about this subject before. He will keep after you if you do not exclude him from conversing with you by refuting what he says with the truth and casting him out. Never let him remain with you. Like in the Promised Land, I told the Israelites they had to cast the enemy out or eventually they would be persuaded by the lies and lose all they had obtained. Which is what happened when they threw My Words behind them and followed their own.
“I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in the way which is not good, following their own thoughts.” Isaiah 65:2.
So let us look at the words of the devil to Eve, and Adam was there at her side listening as well. Genesis 3:6.
And he said to the woman, “Also, has God not said, ‘You shall eat of all (מִכֹּ֥ל) (kol: the whole, all) the trees of the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’” The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:1-5.
First he quoted part of My Word but not the whole of it. I had told Adam that “From all (מִכֹּ֥ל) (kol: the whole, all) trees of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will die the death (the second death, that is, eternal death).” Genesis 3:16-17. The devil left out the part not to do. But Eve filled him in on the rest, as if he did not know it.
When the devil quotes Scripture, which he does, he uses it out of context and leaves parts out to make you disobey it. And then he accuses you of disobeying and puts shame on you to incriminate you to think of yourself as a sinner so that you will just keep sinning.
He did this with Jesus when he quoted Psalm 91 that the angels will catch you and keep you from stumbling to force Jesus to jump from the parapet of the temple. However, he left out the next verse which declares your authority over him so that you trample him underfoot.
Now the devil had her attention like one coming from Me for he knew what I had told them, though not the whole of it, and he began his plan to steal the Word and get them to violate it so he could control them.
He now questioned My Word as being partially true but not entirely true. He had quoted they could eat from ALL the trees and now he told her the next part was a lie. “You surely will not die!” He spoke with authority about this. But lying people are pushy so you will act immediately without thinking too hard.
Here the devil introduced doubt and unbelief. This was the first time Eve had even considered the possibility of My Word not being true but once she listened this caused doubt in her mind. And that was what kept the Israelites out of the land I had freely given them and made them lose their destiny and their inheritance—simply doubt and unbelief. Hebrews 3:19. It is crippling to your going forward into all that is yours.
When Jesus came down from the Mount of the Transfiguration, seeing the glory, He called the doubt and unbelief that kept the son of the distraught father in the captivity of the devil as he went into seizures and foaming at the mouth because no one would cast it out called them an unbelieving and perverted generation.
You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once. Matthew 19:17-18.
And when the disciples asked why they had not been able to cast the demon out Jesus told them it was because of doubt and unbelief. No faith in His Word, or at least very little.
But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-7.
Jesus came to undo the works of the devil and He told you to do the works He did and greater and gave you the authority to do so by His Name and My Word. And He is My Word made flesh among you.
Doubt makes you unstable. It takes out your foundation and ruins your relationship of trust with Me. Once you begin to question the integrity of My Word in any area its credibility is undermined and you lose stability and purpose in your life. It makes you doubt and lose your relationship with Me. It will make you turn to sin in order to meet your needs.
It makes you open to false doctrines. You are looking for prosperity by other channels that depend upon your flesh to work them up and out.
And that was the place where the devil had Eve by doubt but now that he saw her meditating on that he knew he could take her the rest of the way and ensnare her to serve him.
So now that the devil and planted doubt in her mind and she was letting it change her thought pattern about My Word, he then reinforced it by telling her the reason My Word was not the truth, or at least not the whole truth. “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Now in her doubt he took her to the next level, that I was withholding things from her that would make her like her own god. It was insidious, but he was tempting her pride to be what the world would call an “independent thinker.”
Adam and Eve were already in My image and according to My likeness. They were like Me but they were not sovereign in the sense of being their own source of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and supernatural power. All of those flowed to them by being attached to Me as their source of every good thing given and every perfect gift.
But once I had given them seed, they could control the production, prosperity, and the replenishing of the earth with what they chose to plant, grow and produce. But I was there to teach them to profit and the way they should go, like I did with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and they all became very wealthy, even to the hundredfold return in a time of famine.
I gave mankind, starting with Adam and Eve, My authority to take dominion over and rule all the works of My hands upon the earth. But being in My image they had to operate as I do, by My Word. My Word is living and active, it is sharper than any two-edged sword, it gives life to those who find it and health to all their flesh. My Word is not a restriction but an empowerment. It gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. It provides living water.
It is My Covenant with you that I share My Words and their creative and sustaining power with you. I have put My Words in your mouth and My Spirit on you so that you can do with them what I do—heal, bless, create, prosper, and give life. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. But you must take advantage of them and use them by faith. You must be intentional.
My Words are Spirit and life, they have eternal life in them. Without them nothing was made. Everything was made by My Word, is sustained by My Word, and will be raised up to new levels of existence and authority by My Word. You will reign with Me forever by My Word. Revelation 22:5.
But Eve and Adam swallowed the bait to separate from Me to gain the upper hand over Me in determining what is good and what is bad. Making a lawless society if each person just does what his or her flesh dictates. And you are still doing this. Today many are calling evil good and good evil in a perverted and diabolical view of life and the dignity of the human body and soul. Many are walking the at the level of the flesh rather than the spirit. But a mind set on the flesh is set on death. While the mind set on the spirit is set on life and peace. Though clothed in flesh the real you is your spirit and it is only strong and alive on a diet of My Word.
Adam and Eve after defying My Word and eating the lies of the devil found themselves reduced in intelligence, slaves to sin, and subject to a life of toil to try to get provisions out of an earth that no longer cooperated with them as it had before they sinned and opened the earth to the curse of corruption and death. The earth was now in rebellion against them for corrupting the seed to end in death. They had forsaken the living waters and abundance of Eden for the dry and baren land of self-seeking and toil.
For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13.
They were no longer tapped into their source, like a fish out of water or a branch severed from the vine. You were created in Me and in My image and you need to stay in Me as the medium where you live and prosper. Out of Me you must go after the things what you need, chasing to survive, but in Me, which is in Kingdom jurisdiction even now, the things are coming to you and chasing you down.
Now it shall be, if you listen and obey the Word of the LORD your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you listen to and obey the Word of the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 28:1-2.
How can you learn more from human knowledge and wisdom than from the creator of all who gives you His Kingdom and His Word? And in My Word are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Everything was made and works according to My Word. Knowledge is by revelation combined with study.
There is a truth you must understand or the devil can make you doubt My Word, My goodness, My love, and make you think you do not have things that I already gave you, i.e., that I am withholding things from you to hold you down. Just as he told Eve. You actually already have healing, health, prosperity, forgiveness, and all good things and should be receiving them by faith instead of begging Me to give you what I already gave you. That frustrates you and grieves Me.
Here is the truth you need to understand to function in the blessing: EVERYTHING I SAY OR TELL YOU TO DO IS FOR YOUR BENEFIT AND NOT TO ENLARGE ME AND KEEP YOU DOWN. I am already the Most High and I have need of nothing for anything I desire I merely speak and it is. Like I made the world and all in it.
I did not plan you from eternity and give you My life to make you a slave to serve Me. I can do everything and anything without help. I have no need of service in My Kingdom. All reign with Me there.
But I do have a need that I have put in each of your hearts also. It is not good to be alone for love seeks a beloved to shower with blessing. Genesis 2:18. Love wants to give to someone like He is, to have fellowship with His own kind.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26.
I had a vision in My heart for a family all My own in My image and according to My likeness with a most special home. A home that I very carefully planned, crafted and made for you with all kinds of building materials and elements and matter—everything for life and godliness—so that you could use all the substances, elements, and natural laws I put in the earth to make plans, inventions, and design and build beautiful things.
All the lovely things and vast vistas I made for you to enjoy were a joy to make because I was making them for My beloved—My children, My family, My bride, My friends. I had a good plan for each life that would be born and I knew each of you by name already. A life fruitful, triumphant and true. I wanted to lavish My love and life on you. I have lavished you with grace, that is, My own divine life.
There is joy in mutual love with one like yourself. Not a dog or animal, no matter how precious or sweet, but another one of your kind who can have a comparable relationship. I introduced all the animals to be companions for Adam, but none of them were suitable to fill his need for fellowship and partnership. It had to be one in his own image and according to his kind. Genesis 2:18-23.
And then the children to be part of that fellowship in oneness had to be in their image and according to their likeness to bond in family.
When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. Genesis 5:3.
There is joy together in all good things. I give good things to My children. And I have given you all My Name.
My Words are not idle or foolish with no power to do what they promise as the devil would make you believe. They are holding nothing back from you. My Spirit teaches you all things, reminds you of all I have said, leads you in the way you should go, guides you to all truth, and tells you of the things to come. I give you a Word of wisdom about future things to be prepared, I give you a Word of knowledge to show you hidden things you would not otherwise know, I give you gifts of healing, miracles, great faith, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues and interpretation of tongues.
Jesus came to serve you, not to be served, and in seeing Him you see Me. I am a true Father.
My Word made you and sustains you, let My Word define you and not another. Never permit the devil to define you by other than My Word. Which he will not do. He does not want to empower you but weaken you to his attacks.
My word prospers you and gives you success, Joshua 1:7-9. Psalm 1, Proverbs 4:20-27. My Word heals you, delivers you, instructs you, corrects you, blesses you, matures you, and perfects you. My Son cleansed and sanctified His disciples by My Word that He spoke to them. It is still the same. My Word is My gift to you and My Word is so real it took flesh and dwelt among you and you have all seen and been recipients of His glory, grace upon grace.
Jesus manifested My Name to you—all My Name. The LORD your healer, your provider, your Shepherd, your peace, your righteousness, your redeemer, your savior, your refuge, your fortress, your exceeding joy, and many more. And in Him I gave you My Name. All My promises are “yes” to you in Him. Both from the Old and from the New Covenants.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom ALL the family in heaven and on earth derives its name. Ephesians 3:14-15.
The devil tries to make My Word sound foolish compared to the words of the world, like he did with Eve and does every day now in your schools, your government, your newscasts, your peers. He wants to direct you to worldly sources for your knowledge and thoughts. It wants you to develop a taste for godless philosophies, theories and teachings that derive principles and patterns from My Word but make it all through human mental analysis and the arm of the flesh.
The devil spoke lies to Eve and Adam but these lies sounded good to them. He made it sound like if they followed his counsel they would become very great.
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6.
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life took her down. You see that set out very clearly here. And a fascination with worldly gain and approval has glittered before many eyes before leading them on a path to death.
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Provers 14:12 . . .In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. Proverbs 12:28.
What they did not realize was they already had everything and still much more. I had made the world for Adam and Eve and given them everything and met with them every day. Adam named all the animals as his own and understood the workings and origin of each. And they were subject to them. As were the angels. You are to judge angels.
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12.
Adam and Eve made a very serious and far reaching decision without evaluating who they were listening to—a creature in a class below them rather than referring all to their Creator who loved them and showed them everything. And when they were ready I would have taught them the knowledge of good and evil.
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the Word of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14.
If you really knew what My Word does for you then you would love it and it would become the joy and desire of your heart. David had a life of victory and blessing beyond what he could ask or imagine that reaches to eternity in his root and offspring, Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. He sang that My Word is sweeter than honey and more valuable then a heap of purest gold. There is great reward in keeping them. They are your life. In My Word is eternal life and all the benefits that go with that.
Your life and your eternal destiny as determined in this life where you are walking now is based only on one thing, and that is what you do with My Word. Jesus explained that to you: “I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My Words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him; the Word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.” John 12:46-48.
It is by how you treated My Word and what you did with it that will determine your life forever.
The devil has cheated so many of their beautiful, triumphant, and fruitful lives by taking My Word away from them. Do not let that be you. You must be aware of his lies and counter with the truth of My Word.
And Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” Mark 4:13-20.
I love you. My Word is true and there is no other place you will find all the answers you are seeking on how to live a perfect life of truth and honor. Be confident of that and do not let the devil rob you of yor prize. All My ways are lovingkindness and truth. And I chose you to be My own. And I Am My Word and I AM Love. And so are you. You abide in My love when you abide in My Word and My Word abides in you..
Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; praise is becoming to the upright. Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men; from His dwelling place He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works. The king is not saved by a mighty army; a warrior is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a false hope for victory; nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy Name. Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us, aAccording as we have hoped in You. Psalm 33.
