Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
With joy you will draw water from the springs of salvation (Yeshuah, Jesus). And if you knew My gift, you would ask Him for a drink and He will give you living, life giving, eternal water to drink. It is better than wine, it is better than anything upon the earth, for it cleanses, it regenerates, it brings you to be a new creation in Christ for eternity, and fills you with the delights, gifts, and joy of Heaven until you overflow and the knowledge of My glory covers the earth as it flows as rivers out of you carrying the gifts of the Spirit.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14.
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39.
It flows from above into the wellspring of your born again spirit and leaps up to eternal life.
Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a wellspring of water leaping up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14.
Water is essential for physical life and growth on earth and water is also essential for spiritual life and growth. You cannot exist without water. One kind is of the earth and the other kind is of Heaven, but you must have both to thrive.
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11.
I created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them for you. I prepared the Third Heaven with you in mind as well.
Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. . . I was thirsty, and you gave Me to drink . . . Matthew 25:34-35.
All who are thirsty, come to the water of life.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one come who wishes take the water of life without cost. Revelation 22:17.
“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat.” Isaiah 55:1.
In the beginning My Spirit hovered over the waters, I spoke and all went into motion. But it started with water and then light.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9.
When you meditate on My Word day and night you thrive for I describe you as being like a tree planted with its roots in an underground stream that continually flows.
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3.
You can tap into a livestream flowing continuously without interruption day and night into your spirit from My Spirit. Thus you have no fear of drought in the world for your source will never run dry.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8.
When I raised Jesus from the dead and He ascended back to Me, the first thing He did was receive from Me the promise of the Spirit and pour forth the living water from My throne upon you who believe as Pentecost was fulfilled. And Peter explained to the astonished crowd:
This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear. Acts 2:32-33.
And I give the Spirit without measure to those who open their hearts by speaking My Word.
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. John 3:34.
Jesus is the chief cornerstone, the rock of your salvation, the foundation upon which you must build your life to not be shaken but standing firm in any storm. But from that rock water gushes out to give life in the desert and to fill your soul with peace. You see this in the provision of water and life to the Israelites as they journeyed through the desert to the promised land.
Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel journeyed by stages from the wilderness of Sin, according to the command of the LORD, and camped at Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink. Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water that we may drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the LORD?” But the people thirsted there for water; and they grumbled against Moses and said, “Why, now, have you brought us up from Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “What shall I do to this people? A little more and they will stone me.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike [in Hebrew: nakah (נָכָה): to smite] the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. He named the place Massah and Meribah because of the quarrel of the sons of Israel, and because they tested the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us, or not?” Exodus 17:1-7.
Later, I clarify for you that this was a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ the rock of your Salvation upon which the Church was built.
For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness. 1 Corinthians 10:1-5.
The first time that water gushed forth from the flinty rock for the people and their livestock to drink, I told Moses to strike the rock. The next time, I told him not to strike the rock but to speak to the rock.
Then the glory of the LORD appeared to them; and the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield its water. You shall thus bring forth water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their beasts drink.” Numbers 20:1-8.
Do you know why? Jesus was struck and died once for all. By His stripes you were healed. He never dies again. He is never struck again. Once was enough. Now He tells you to speak to things and He is the High Priest of your confession (homologia), that is, of your speaking in perfect agreement with Him for the results you want. Now He washes you in the water of the Word.
And the third instance of getting water out of the dry desert, I tell them to sing and bring up a well! And they do.
From there they continued to Beer, that is the well where the LORD said to Moses, “Assemble the people, that I may give them water.” Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well! Sing to it! The well, which the leaders sank, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter and with their staffs.” Numbers 21:16-18.
And now that is the way you drink of the Holy Spirit until you overflow.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:15-20.
Jesus is the Vine and you are the branches, if a branch gets cut off from the vine it withers up and dies, it has no life, no sap flowing into it for a branch does not have life on its own, only if it is attached to the vine. Do you see?
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. John 15:4-6.
Without the living water of the Holy Spirit pouring into the wellspring in your spirit you will dry up and wither.
For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will wither away. James 1:11.
Come to the water and drink. Jesus, your good Shepherd, will lead you to the healing, peaceful waters of the Spirit, to the living water, and I will wipe every tear from your eyes. When you get full of the Holy Spirit, you cannot help but be filled with joy. Even in the midst of persecution and trial, “the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 13:52.
If you do not have joy, you need to come to the water and drink until you are full.
I love you and I have given you water for the physical and water for the spiritual and neither one will ever run out. With joy you will draw water at the springs of Salvation. Come to the water and drink!
