For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 43:13.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I am your God. There is no other. You are Mine. I made you, I love you, I bless you and I bathe you in the blood of My Son. I am your first love and you are Mine.
No matter how much you deny Me or how hard you push Me away, no matter how much you run from Me, I am still your God. You are Mine.
How come so many deny Me? Even a dog knows his master. Pagan nations are more loyal to false gods than many are to Me, but I will never leave you or forsake you. You are Mine.
You can never change the fact that I am your God, I am faithful to you and I love you.
Let Me love you. Let Me care for you. Let Me be who I am to you. Let Me be your God, your Healer, your Provider, your Shepherd, your Deliverer, your Refuge, your Righteousness, your Hope, and your Father. Let Me be your first love.
You can count on Me.
What does it mean that I am your God? It means you are not alone. It means you are not on your own. It means you have someone who will take care of you. You will never be on your own for all eternity, I will always be there for you.
You have someone to lean on. And He is your all powerful, all knowing, and Almighty Father.
You have a backer. I am your rearguard. Behind and before I encircle you and My Hand is upon you. I have your past, present and future covered.
I say to you what I say to all: Be on guard, do not turn to false gods. You have only one Father. No one else will ever care for you and about you like I do. No one else can know you as I can.
Love and value others but give your heart to me. I tell you to love Me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, but I only tell you to love your neighbor as you love yourself, which means you would not harm them but would see to their best interests. That you will treat others in the same way you would want to be treated. But you are to love Me more than yourself. You are to give your heart to Me. I can do more for you than you can do for yourself. I give you eternal life. Without Me you can do nothing, but you do not have to do anything without Me. It is up to you.
I am your source of all good things and of life itself. And I am your own kind. I made you in My image. You are of My kind. You are My family.
Adam left My authority and My jurisdiction and he gave the authority over the earth I had given him to the evil one but I was still there for him. No matter what you do, I am still your God, your maker, your creator, I will never leave you or forsake you. It grieves My heart when you leave and forsake Me. I remain faithful, however, because that is who I am.
If you want to see what it means that I am your God look back to My first Words to the first man and woman I made. I blessed them and gave them dominion and control over the earth and the works of My hands. I placed them in a home, the Garden of Eden, and I cared for them. I gave them an assignment and the skill to perform it. I looked after every area of their lives.
And you can learn further what it means that I am your God by how I introduced Myself to Abraham, your father in the faith. I told him I would bless him to be a blessing, make his name great and make him a blessing to every person on earth. Genesis 12:1-3. And as I kept unfolding who I was to Abraham, I told him more about Myself. I told him not to be afraid, that I was his shield and his very great reward. Genesis 15:1. I do not change and I say the very same thing to every one of you today.
You will notice that as your God I am all about what I am doing for you. You are My primary interest. My first Words to the first man and woman, to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, to Moses, to Joshua, to Gideon, and countless others were not about what you could do for Me but about what I would do for you. And it was all for your benefit—to increase you and bless you—promises for your protection, prosperity, healing, and success—nothing about failure, defeat or poverty. The curse comes from following the evil one—from acting without love (which is without Me, for I am love) and rejecting Me as your God by not keeping My Word.
I tell you often that I reward those who seek Me. That those who seek Me with all their hearts will find Me with them. That those who seek Me want for no good thing. And that those who seek My Kingdom and My righteousness will have everything added to them to meet all their needs.
I tell you that there is nothing too hard for Me, whatever it is you need. I tell you that nothing is impossible to Me. I tell you that I hear you and am there to deliver you. I tell you often not to fear because I am with you. And when I am with you no one can be against you for all power and ultimate authority reside in Me.
I hear you and see you at every moment. Even the hairs on your head are all counted by Me. I know when you sit and when you stand. With all your ways I am familiar. I know your thoughts from afar and your words before you even utter them. I have My eyes upon you. I am your creator and Lord. I know everything about you. I knit you in your mother’s womb.
It means all this and more that I am your God. There is no one else so close to you as I am. There is no one else that can know you as I can. There is no one else that cares as much about your interests as I do. There is no one else who gave their only Son to die for you to reconcile you to himself. No one else but Me can join as one with your spirit and fill you with light and love in your innermost being. No one else can be as intimately involved in your life as I can. You have no other place where you are so well received, loved and honored as you are with Me.
No one else can do for you what I can do. Why do you turn away from the only One that is truly there for you? Why do you ever turn away from the only One that can solve all your problems, the only one that forgives all your sins and remembers them no more, the only one who heals all your ills and diseases, the only one who can pull you out of the pit forever, the only one that can surround you with love and compassion, fill your days with good things, and renew your youth like the eagle’s? I can and will do all these things for you. I delight in doing good to you.
Yes, I am your Shepherd, your guide, your refuge, your protector, your deliverer, your fortress, your healer, your Father, your friend, your lover, your provider, your righteousness, your victory, and your great reward. Why would you not want Me to be your God?
No matter what you do, I am your God and I will always be for all eternity. You can deny Me and reject Me but you cannot change that I am your God and that I love you with an everlasting love. What you choose to do with My love is entirely up to you but it is there for you to take by faith.
